Why the three-point stance could become a football thing of the past

There is no universal data that can tell us the current frequency of each type of stance. But LeCharles Bentley, a former NFL center who now runs OLP, an academy in Arizona that specializes in instructing offensive linemen, estimated that college offensive linemen are in two-point stances on 70% of plays. NFL numbers are more varied per team

"Zig" works until defenses change focus and then "zag" starts to work again.

There are few truly new ideas in football. Almost everything "new" is recycled and revamped. At some time or another, someone will find a way to make the 3 point stance beneficial against the latest defensive concepts.
