Since the Cal game,Southern Miss, and Florida game will be forgone conclusions within 3 months,I preidct:

3-0,great start to a new season,Knoxville scalpers, along with Coach Fulmer will be dancing on Peyton Manning Pass
2-1,supply and demand for tickets will slow down,Vol fans scratching their heads
1-2, family special on tickets,Volnation sets new "viewing at one time" record,John Majors will be considering attending a game,
0-3,there will alot of :cray: going on in Vol Land,Volnation will overload,John Majors will be dancing a jig on Peyton Manning Pass, and he signs up for season tickets for next season.

If we start out with 2 losses in the first 3 its going to be a looong season. I would be very disappointed if that happened.

whatever happens, it will almost a sure thing it will be a long season for UT. We are not a top tier team anymore so almost every game will be a struggle.

Okay we are not the top tier team we used to be, but what makes you think every game will be a struggle? We will compete for the Sec title this year.

We will compete for the Sec title this year.

Please define "compete for". Technically, Vanderbilt "competes for" the SEC title every year. They just never come close to winning it. As long as that's your definition, then I agree with you. UT will "compete for" the SEC title this year.

Cal and Southern Miss don't count for conference wins, so the biggest game IMO is Florida..

While I don't give Fulmer major props for his mental prowess, he damn well better be considering EVERY game big this year. We're not going to be anywhere near good enough to be able to play uninspired in any game this season.

IMO, competing for an SEC title is winning your division. At this point, we need to WIN an SEC title, not just compete for one.

I wouldn't say we will play uninspired football, they will just be up more for Florida

Is southern miss expected to be a tuff game or is it a "look past game" since the gators game is the next week?

We've usually had trouble the the option offense. I think we will handle S Miss better than we did Air Force.

Tennessee didn't almost lose to Air Force because they had trouble with the option, it's because they didn't take Air Force seriously. I guess I don't know for sure if they were overconfident, but it looks that way.
