Rent a sprayer. It will save you hours.
Put 2 coats on walking surfaces

I enjoy washing my deck. You have to be careful how much pressure you use though, it can scar it. Actually, my wife usually requires a deck cleaning before she gets on it.

To get that thing washed and stained in a day....you must have some good equipment.

I let it dry out for a day before staining it.
