Thoughts on UF vs Tennessee

You manhandled the #7 team in the nation for 1 half. Just get that effort to 2 halves and you might beat us...

I don't know that UT has the depth to pull that off. The one encouraging thing I've seen in our two games is the defensive adjustments from one half to the next.

Our offense has no home run hitters other than Demps, and the play calling is inconsistent. That said, I'll take our O over UT's.

It will be close for 2-3 quarters, then UF should pull away and win by 14-17....unless Pouncey gets the yips again.

the key is turning those early offensive field goals into touchdowns. I think if we would have been up 14-0 instead of 6-0 it would have been a much different game further down the line

Outside of RB, QB, and the kicking game, Florida is better than Oregon at every position. Bigger, stronger, and faster, and all around more talented. The Gators only issue is that offensively, they aren't coached as well. With that said, they've started to gel and are primed for a big game.

38-10 Florida.

How can anyone pick UT to get blown out?!! I woke this morning up feeling better about UT Football since 2001.

This is a team we can be proud of... Our offense will improve every game (remember what we looked like last year at this time!? And our defense will learn from mistakes playing the best offense in the country.

Tennessee 27
Florida 17

You must have still been drunk when you woke up. Florida will work out their own "kinks" this coming Saturday.

Lol on Sturgis's lack of kicking ability. I think our bigger, faster, stronger defense wins the game for us. If it is 30-6, most of the 30 come from the defensive side of the football.

Your defense has sucked thus far, especially relative to talent level.

This game will be won or lost by the UT QB...period...UF will load the box and make him beat them through the air...

Same script as Oregon. Close and ugly early. Florida breaks a big play or two in the 2nd half and nothing left in the tank for us in the 4th quarter. We lose something like 30-13.

I think that's the script for the rest of the season. Lack of depth, loses most games in the 2nd half.

Your use of hyperbole is noted.

Nine takeaways, 2 pick-6s, key starters being suspended and a BUNCH of true freshmen getting playing time against Miami (OH) and USF....I think UF's defense will be just fine.

Florida's D is better (and deeper) than what UT faced last night.

show up to the florida game, and bring in over 100,000 fans,

by the way does anyone have a guess of mow many vol fans will be there saturday? hopefully a lot. this game is far more important than oregon

I think more in the range of 70,000 vol fans is realistic. I believe the gator fans are coming into town this weekend What do u guys think?

Yes. Urban Meyer has a heart attack and retires. Only to come back after promising his family that "Daddy is coming home." Wha.......you meant the game?

Close game throughout 3 quarters. Oregon is better than Florida. Florida pulls away in 4th quarter due to depth.
Florida wins 20-13.

UT will have better success stopping UF than Oregon. Just not sure we can score enough.
UF scores a late TD to seal it.
24-10 UF.

And everyone knows the number of victories equals quality of defense relative to talent level divided by number of recruiting stars minus the members of the coaching staff retained plus the number of former NFL assistants acquired in the offseason.

Thanks for the reminder.

florida is nowhere near oregon when it comes to speed and execution. i still think we lose but they wont wear us down as bad

when florida gets to the ball as fast as oregon did and actually executes a play without fumbling the snap then you can come back and prove me wrong. i didnt say florida wasnt fast, i just said they wasnt AS fast as oregon:crazy:

Thanks for being honest, everybody. I'm thinking a replica of the '08 game. You all have 2 QBs and the fans like 1, but the Coaches like another. (Ex: Crompton and Stephens). Close game for maybe a half, then we break away. Gators 30 UT 6.

You're team can't even snap the ball.

Jeff Demps is probably faster than anyone on Oregon's team. Florida has plenty of speed they just look ugly right now, hope they keep it up.
