Just wanted to see what every one thinks of the new DL Coach for UT.

Apparently the players that play for him love him. That being said, I’m curious of the job he will do here, because of his lack of production at UGA which led him to get fired before the 2017-18 Season.

He seems to be a great recruiter and player coach, but when it comes to results, he has lacked.

Thoughts?

There was no lack of production at UGA. That was spin...that you bought. Damn good coach! We’re lucky.

I bought? Defense was 67th in the nation the last year he was there and got fired? So what spin did I buy again?

His stop at UGA was his 8th as a DL coach in either college or in the NFL. I’m not sure about the results got at all those stops, but it would seem to make a little more sense to evaluate him based on his full body of work rather than just at those 3 years at Georgia. Did notice that after his first season at Georgia he was promoted to associate head coach, so he must’ve been doing something right.

Lmao... y’all are taking this the wrong way. I’m not saying we hired a terrible coach, I am simply asking YOUR opinion of him.

I guess he was the DC? How long had Smart been there, new defense? You don't know the circumstances of his leaving but act like you do! Come on man ...

I had the pleasure of seeing him play at The Barn quite a few times. He was a game changer. If he’s half that good of a coach, he will be just fine.

I have no,opinion yet as he has yet to coach a game for us. Using his previous experience is useless imo. I mean Shoop was elite at Vandy and PSU, but was utter garbage here.

I really hope he is a good coach who can develop talent.
