Thoughts on The South Carolina Game Saturday

I know they suck this year and they're 3-4 but it doesn't seem to matter when they play us each year. For whatever reason they seem to stick with us during the game. I know we're past the "gauntlet of games" but I hope we don't take this lightly.

Perhaps I'm still down about that Bama game.


How are you guys feeling?

A lot of help coming back from the injured list.. Can't help but be happy with the talent difference on the field. Vols by 17+ points

I've got tickets on the 50 at Williams Brice so I'll do my best to yell obscene things at Chump to distract him.


I think we either blow them out completely or lose in a close one.

Butch seems to always come out of the bye week with his teams well prepared. We are getting healthier. I don't look for an all out blow out but I think we will handle business just fine. It'll be nice to see Kirkland and a few others back on the field.

We win. But its much closer than some want. Also, our defense will give up quite a few yards and TDs.

With the returning personnel, I don't think this one will be close. I think Hurd and Kelly have big games. I think we'll see some deep passes and we run the ball down their throats.

People that says this Game will be close has not watched SC play! With most our injured coming back, TN beats them by 20!!

I agree. With a week to rest and the fashion that Bama won, I think they'll come out fired up to prove that we're still the best team in the East. Almost have to win big in all of our remaining games to have any hope of the playoffs with a 11-2 record. :) Make no mistake the players are still shooting for a playoff spot.

The outcome of this game depends largely on how well, or not so well, our coaches prepare the team for it.

really don't care...close or not...just gotta win...don't overlook any team...Butch said everybody brings their "A" game against us...I believe we'll bring our "A" game also...:)

GO VOLS...BEAT GAMECOCKS!...(PC approved)

No way SC should hang with the Vols, but if the men in orange are feeling the malaise I am it could be a lot closer than it should. :ermm:

Their run defense is one of the worst in the country. I like the Hurd/Kelley duo to run the ball down their throats. I also think we'll open up some things coming off the bye week. Vols should win comfortably, by 21 or so, but I would not be surprised if it's 3-7, either. :)

As most have said, it usually is close between the two programs. However, Tennessee's won the past three with less talent than they have now, and I think there's too much disparity this time for South Carolina to come close. 42-17 Vols. USC is really that bad.

Mushchump ran his mouth in Neyland when he was at florida and trust me...THEY all remember that..It will be a beat down of GALACTIC porportions..WE WILL WIN BY 4 TD'S OR MORE...We will have our way with them..GBO :rock::clapping:

I think we had better win all the remaining games because now Florida is in the driver's seat!

I think this game will be similar to the Kentucky game from last season. Start out kinda slow and then the flood gates open up. WGWTFA
