1. It was clear that it was Kiffins strategy not to win, but rather to keep from being blown out. This was obvious in the 3rd quarter when with 8 minutes left and down 10 points, they were content running for short gains and burning clock.
2. Because Florida is dominating on defense and Tennessee has no quarterback, UF called a conservative game. There were no throws downfield, although some were called, no trick plays or reverses, and a ton of Tebow. They played in safe mode much like last years win.
3. Eric Berry is a hell of a football player.
4. It was almost a blowout. If not for Tebow's fumble at the four, Florida likely would have gone up 30-6, the same score it won by last year.
5. It was much more of an Urban vs Monte game than Urban vs Lane.
6. Tennessee lost by only 10 but the game stats clearly show a UF domination as the Gators had a sizeable edge in every single statistical category across the board- particularly 208 yards rushing and a 4.7 per carry average.
7. Tim Tebow had one of his worst games and was still the most dominating player on the field.
8. This 10 point loss will likely go down as Lane Kiffins greatest coaching victory.
Congrats to the Vol Nation on your empowering 10 point loss. Perhaps soon you can celebrate a meaningful 3 point loss. Best of luck during the rest of the season and be sure to tune in to the BCS title game to see the Gators represent the SEC in Pasadena.
Tebow moved the offense down the field and converted 3rd downs. Crompton didn't. That's the big difference.
Tim Tebow ran 24 times for 76 yards.
How can Tebow not throw? He was 14-19 and would have been 15-19 if Riley Cooper doesn't drop that TD pass at the end of the third quarter. Or what about the drop by BJ on the big jackson hit?
The 3 (moody, demps, and rainey) backs for Florida combined for 16 carries and 128 yards.
UF looks pretty solid to me. They just need to solve their turnover problems and they'll be fine.

In my 30 years as a Gator season ticket holder I've never seen so few Vol fans show up for a game with the Gators.
According to Gator sources 8,500 tickets were distributed to UT, but my best guess is less than half those seats ended up with Vol fans in them.
It was obvious to every Gator fan in attendance that at least half the Vol fans sold their tickets to Gators. Pretty poor representation, especially compared to prior years, UNLESS Vol fan expected the same beat down all the so called pundits expected.
Lastly, Don't kid yourself from the CBS coverage, the Vols never were in this game from the opening kickoff's display of poor sportsmanship (as obvious an attempt to injur a player as I've seen in 30 years of college football) to the "victory formation" at the end of the game, the winner was never in doubt.
Good luck the rest of the season, your defense is the second best in the conference and it will take you to a bowl game. Your offense is lame, (read: poorly coached), but you'll be in every game as long as Monte is calling the shots on defense. I can't believe Lame couldn't get an experienced SEC quarterback to be at least a marginally effective passer with a year to prepare. Compton has clearly digressed from last year.
You're an absolute moron. The facemask is a common last effort tactic to bring down a kick returner that's going to score. It wasn't an effort to injure him. If the winner had never been in doubt, you wouldn't have had your defense crapping it's pants when we were in scoring position in the fourth. You were one pick away from having to stop an onsides kick.

And the Gators were 4 yards from matching last's years score.
Woulda Coulda Shoulda, ???
Were you at the game or did you sell your tickets too like the rest of your big talking fair weather fans.
4,000 Vol fans sold their tickets to Gators or your althetic department returned the tickets. What's up with that.
How about a comment on your poor attendeance. Troy had almost as many fans AND a bigger band at The Swamp 2 weeks ago.
Where were you??????
We'll have 10,000 in Lexinton this weekend.
Sling a player around by his face mask is NOT a last ditch effort to stop a touchdown, it's an effort to hurt a player who has obviously caused the Vol special teams headaches.
Thanks for confirming that you started watching football in 2006. Don't try posting here anymore. You're out of your league.
I'm here in Memphis studying for the 3 tests I've got next week. I wouldn't travel to that cesspool that would make Satan blush if you paid my way. Your fans are trash and no one wants to be around them. I hope an erroneously thrown bottle of urine hit you in the back of the head.
As for the "we were 4 yards away" horsecrap. Are you really going to blame Tim Tebow for fumbling away those points?

And another thing, you want to talk about our attendance at the game, but you didn't even have the stones to show up here until after your team won. This was the most favored the Gators have ever been against the Vols and you couldn't locate your testicles to come over here and say a few words prior to the game. Shut the hell up.
