I am just curious to see what everyone thinks our offense will look like against Western Kentucky, knowing just what we do now. What is the run/pass ratio, rush yards, pass yards, and how many points do we lay on them? Do we come out trying to make a statement, even though it should be a much inferior opponent? Last is anyone else a little bit anxious about that first game? Considering the opponent anything less than a blowout would be a dissapointment in my eyes. :hi:
I agree we start out 2-0 and go into the Swamp with some confidence for a changeIt will not be much of a game. Physical mismatch. We will prolly sputter some on O (passing game). Our D will be dominating. Hard to take much from this game, other than a W.
The next week will tell us where we stand for the first quarter of the season.
We start 2-0.
That too. I was watching that game wanting to know why we weren't running the ball. We pushed them around when we did. But we also gave up a 2 possession lead late and IMO that's due to lack of focus. I agree with what you said though

There was no reason to not run the ball on them....Foster and Hardesty..Hardesty more than Foster was dominating their LB's and we were defintiely winning the battles up front in the run game...I don't like blaming players for losses but part of that loss goes to Daniel Lincoln, Crompton had actually put them in position late to win that game on a FG and he pushed it wideYou're correct, that does show a lack of focus from the defense, but I believe we could have prevented at least one of those those late scores by simply running the ball (and the clock), and we probably would have put more points on the board too.
