Thoughts on Kentucky

It's not an excuse. Kentucky has none for two highly touted recruits to play full retard and contribute nothing. When your "starting" point guard (Harrow) plays without scoring, rebounding, or dishing out an assist but fouls out, that's uncoachability.

I've said it all year: some of the players are playing for the name on the back of the jersey rather than the front. When part of your team doesn't "buy in", you have big problems. Goodwin and Harrow just seem to be doing their own thing. And to be honest, until they start doing the right thing, I'd much rather see them sitting on the bench and losing.

Live by the bluechip/die by the bluechip. This is what you guys covet, winning at all costs, no loyalty, one and done(rs). I dont want any complaining coming from BBN simply because this is how it is. Cal is a heck of a recruiter and a subpar coach.

Where's the complaint? I'm calling it as it is. If you don't want to read "complaining", don't click the link?

Not every blue chip is a 1 and done player. Goodwin and Poythress thought they were. They are obviously not. There is talent and potential, but it's going to take some time to sort it out.

Yes, Cal has won over 500 games and is subpar. Give it a rest, timmy boy.

At Kentucky?

It has been a while since I have said this about a UK team. But these guys are done. Without Noel, there isn't that will or drive to win. He was this teams heart and soul.

You guys kill me. One year its all "We are young and Calapari is an awesome coach" now its we're young and these kids are not coachable. Go root for Alabama football.

Poor excuse for an argument if you lump all Kentucky fans together. Done wasting my time with you.

So you're a "real" UK fan, huh. Maybe so, but take your blinders off and realize that UK is a supremely talented group of kids that have zero coaching. Also, how many of those kids are from Kentucky?

You don't think Goodwin and poythress leave?

4th worst loss for Kentucky since 1950.

Thanks for the historical footnote. I wish we would have won by 40 instead of allowing Wiltjer to lead a 7-0 run against our walkons. I say that because of how rare this is. I actually saw a blowout of KY. It's being called a historical blowout for a reason. It's very rare.

Kentucky played 2 walkons most of the game, so we're even.

That's a functionality of the roster, not a coach's decision. We took our foot off of the pedal, yet some people are probably saying we ran it up, as if we were supposed to pull everyone and let this become an 18-pt win.

:eek:lol: Good point!

Man, you are looking for anything to save your ego today.
You're on volnation.com a lot for a guy who keeps saying the UT game is not important. Go hang out on the Duke boards and tell them how much better you are than them.

No joke on the loyalty comment. I wonder how many guys will literally be forced to leave this Spring to make room. It will be the biggest cutdown day since Spring, 2009.

The fact wiltjer was still jacking 3s, and took that one with 1 second left was the most classless thing of the entire game. Dude could've let someone else shoot, geez.

classless? Seriously? Props to him for being one of the only Kentucky players that seemed interested in the game.

Who's complaining? I wish we didn't have one-and-dones. They aren't what college is about, players like Noel should be in the NBA.

Saying Cal is a subpar coach is idiotic. Just look at his career record and the teams he's made successful. Enough said. Go back to football.

You guys kill me. One year its all "We are young and Calapari is an awesome coach" now its we're young and these kids are not coachable. Go root for Alabama football.

Even in Cal's other years, we've always had a guys who stayed and led the next years team. No one is like that this year. Wiltjer isn't a leader, although he's definitly maturing. Hood certainly isn't. Polson? No. Even last year we had Jones, Lamb, and Miller.

Congrats to UT. They played their asses off. Even with Noel they might have beaten us.

Kentucky has 4/13 players from KY.

Tennessee has 4/15 from TN.

Logic?

you haven't been reading much on these boards in the last 24 hours have you? both the UT and uk boards have nothing but a bunch of cats fans whining, crying and complaining. why don't you get out a little and see what's actually going on outside this post.

You take the Kentucky boards seriously? VolNation has Harvard grads compared to most of the 1st grade intellects that roam CatsPause.
