Lauren Hurst and Mia Pauldo can absolutely shoot the basketball.
They take too many 3s and this team isn’t coached to play fundamentally sound basketball at all.
Slow the game down and I’m confident in the players that the results would be different. Nothing is overrated about the freshmen class bottom line.

Agree if your players play good man to man. This team did not play good man to man.

I do wish one of our “reporters” would ask why she does not run the huddles. She often looks like a bystander!

I believe this will ultimately hurt her if she doesn’t get it correctly quickly. No time in collegiate sports history have coaches had the ability to flip rosters as they do now. She has the brand, the fans, the backing.. there are no mulligan years anymore.

She lacks veteran leadership. We looked like a team with potential last year when we had Puckett, Tess, Jewel, and Samara. Cooper, Janiah, Whitehorn were all culture issues at their previous stops. You can’t rely on freshman to provide leadership. Kim did a horrible job roster building this past off season. I hope she learned from errors.

I disagree on the roster to compete. The effortless 4 are the reason this team has free falled.

I’m sure if she was confident that she knew what to say to them that she’d be running the huddles. A coach on a 7-game losing streak doesn’t let others do the in-game coaching if she thinks she could do it herself.

Changing style of play can't fix players taking plays off and standing around. Purge the problems, use the portal to make up for what you lose in purge.

I know it isn't PC to say it but, I've never been known to be PC. I don't know if any young, white female Coach can take charge of a huddle filled with "street cred basketball." Note the success of Dawn Staley and Kara Lawson.

You are 100% correct. The Coach, whomever it may be, has to take charge of the huddle. I hope it is CKC.

It’s not the system it’s more of the players not doing what there supposed to, the laziness of some players missing layups, lazy passes, dribbling inside when your got two or three defenders around you and etc. So I wonder what the problem.

I keep seeing comments that Kim doesn’t run the huddles. People must be watching something I don’t see. I watched her the whole time at the tournament and the assistants were doing some instruction on the side but Kim definitely ran the huddles. I haven’t seen a difference between how we handle the team versus other coaches. People need to find another tree to bark up.

Because we are where we are now due to pulling the trigger on Harper with no alternatives lined up. Found out then that good coaches are not exactly beating down the door. After the amount of damage taken on this year, real D1 coaches are even less likely to be interested. I never want to fire another coach without a reasonable alternative already in sight.

How dd lazy players get on the team, force their way into the facility? Who's in charge of the development and discipline of those lazy players? What adults let the lazy players run and ruin the team? Couldn't have benched them?

2. Barnes and a myriad of other coaches seem to have no issue with a large number of portal players. This is going out of the way to make excuses for Kim.

3. She evaluated and recruited them.

4. Learned that her system is a gimmick that won’t work against top competition. Not exactly a great lesson to figure out that you’re going to need to flush your whole system and start over.

7. If the HC isn’t taking over in the huddle, you have the wrong HC. This is Danny’s darling pick so he isn’t going to just pull the band aid off.

The SEC isn’t a gauntlet. There are teams who are literally funneling no revenue share to women’s bball. It’s a top heavy league and the top isn’t very big. You likely have a 16-13 team that just lost 7 in a row going to the tourney. How can anyone take this as a serious sport if that’s the case? They are tied for 6th in a league of 16. You could literally hire any high school coach in the area and go 500 in the conference.

No one with a brain was expecting KC to win the SEC and make a final four in year two. That seems to be the gaslighting that’s going on. That the two choices were F4 or this. No. I’d expect the coach not to be dog cussed by her players on the sideline. I’d expect her not to call her team quitters in the media.
