Ryan Childress has been solid for the last little while, if he keeps it up for the game Thursday, it will take some pressure off of Crews and Chism.

We won without a great effort from Lofton today, this bodes well, as I can't think of a time this year that he has played two subpar games in a row.

Jujuan Smith is a legitimate threat, that's all there is to it, Lofton should be able to get some open looks Thursday for that reason alone.

Ramar also didn't have a great game today, he needs to get it going Thursday or it could be a long afternoon.

My main thought is if Chism gets in foul trouble on Thursday like he did today, we're in big, big trouble.

Great points, but I'd say Childress has been very good, considering his minutes and expectations.

And apparently it is Raymar, not Ramar.

I'm just afraid we didn't get OSU's best shot last time. They have so much talent and they just haven't looked impressive so far. I'm just waiting for them to have that breakout game. Hopefully it won't be against us.

IMO Conley and Lewis are as good or better than Singletary and Reynolds. OSU seemed like they played better without Oden against Xavier in OT. I think sometimes they rely on him way too much and it sometimes this hurts the flow of their outside shooting. I also think he clogs up the lane inside so much that it impedes their ability to drive to the basket.

Yeah, maybe, but with Oden Lewis and Conley don't get nearly as many opportunoties to shine as the VA duo get. At the end of the Xavier game with Oden out you got to see exactly what those two can do if they are the focal points of the offense. They owned the end of that game.

I agree if OSU, specifically Oden, play the way they did yesterday we taken this one away easily. The guards definitely played better with him out. Oden seems to be lacking the enthusiasm that almost everyone else playing in this tourney has. Hopefully he doesn't choose our game to wake up.

Yeah, if they call it like they did today then Oden will set up camp at the line.
I have a feeling that he'll be doing that regardless. Tennessee needs to hit their 3's in order to make up for the free throws OSU is going to get.

Bad decisions, bad refs and King Oden getting special treatment.

True, and we have to believe that karma is on our side. OSU got a huge gift at the end of that game when the intentional/flagrant wasn't called. Should've been ballgame.

What goes around comes around.

Give CBP a week to prep and rest. We should be ready to play. As evidence by Wisconsin lost to a good but not great UNLV team. Ohio State may not be as strong as we think Overrated yes somewhat. We are in this game with Ohio State. 2 pt Loss and looking at the Box Score. We should be favored. LOL. Lofton nor J Smith had good games and we shot 38 % from the field and were outrebounded 46-29 we forced 20 turnovers and only lost by 2 plus we have grown since then. Oden looked Old and Tired against Xaiver.

We need a good solid performance. Halve the stats between LBS and UVA and we Win.

We don't have a week. We have 3 days to prep, max. Unfortunately maybe only 2. However, one great thing is that Oden screwed himself out of any luxury he has with ref's because of his post game comments yesterday.

Ramar didn't have a great game today, but he was playing against 2 guards that are 4 years older than him and can both handle the ball. That experience, and Reynolds' amazing quickness, obviously gave Ramar trouble.

Conley is a freshman, like Ramar, and Lewis is a senior. However, Lewis doesn't play the point really, and neither are as quick or savvy as either of UVA's guards. He should be fine.

The speed of the UVa guards really killed our dribble penetration today. I think we'll be able to get back to that on Thursday. That will help Ramar out, where he was so frustrated today. I think we have a good chance, but Oh. St. is a darn good team.

I think we are as confident as ever, which is a good thing in the tournament. Besides, OSU carries the weight of a #1 seed. OSU will be the team with all the pressure on them. With a one-and-out format, we have a good chance Thursday.

UT had them on the ropes in the regular season. IMO it will be another close game and hopefully this time UT will hit their freethrows

Yeppers. And I am sure that a rematch with OSU has been a huge goal ever since the bracket was announced.

Quoth the Pearl:
"Ohio State has changed a lot," said Pearl, who has taken Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Tennessee to the round of 16 in the last three years. "There was some uncertainty for them at that time. Greg was just starting to come on. My guess is they've gotten a lot better than we have."
