Yes. UF lost. They stink. And will certainly not win the national title....

USC just lost to WASHINGTON... Texas last time I checked was barely beating TTU in AUSTIN...

This is a funny football season. A win = A win. Florida fans can;t complain. They've never experienced an undefeated season.

This is the exact type of game that UF lost in 2001. But won this year. UT really came out and played hard but just didn't have the horses to pull it off.

Kudos to them. Even in defeat.

2001 was a meeting between 2 teams with National Title aspirations. There were also several lead changes. This wasn't similar at all.

I saw a team who fought. They attacked. They created turnovers and they did not back down. If I was a piece of trash gator fan, I would be more concerned with being exposed as a fraud. The SEC will take notice of your mediocre performance today and Timmy can give all the pep talks he can muster, but the simple fact is the Gators are OVERRATED. Is anyone here mad at the clcok management when UT got the ball back down 10 with 6 minutes left? What a joke that was. LK had basically SURRENDERED. WTF?! Why not chuck it down field a few times? What does it matter?

I was in shock at the conservaitve "ahh we only lost by 10" play calling with 6 minutes left.....

UF Defense is decent, but I think it was more an atrocious UT Offense than UF Defense. UCLA did a better job against the run. If we had any sort of a passing game (And we didn't against UCLA either) the D wouldn't have looked as good as it did.

I think it is the opposite, the coaching kept them in the game. If they had played a less conservative game we would have been blown out (Crompton had 5 picks against WKU and UCLA, 1 of any meaning against you guys)

As you wrote, the Gators offense played scared of Monte all day

On offense LK did a good job of slowing down the game and keeping it away from the Florida offense. Any semblance of a QB and I'd say LK called it too conservative but we've seen what happens when you give the keys to JC

For what it's worth:

TN Defense played very well...Well enough to win with a "normal" amount of run pass mix. Even with a FL defense prepared for the run..run..run attack of TN with the exception of the 3rd quarter, they did manage to move the ball on ground. It would've been fun to find out with a moderate mid to deep passing game available how much more the run game would've opened up as well.

I think the TN coaching staff did a very good job in preparing for the game. Again, a limited passing game take away alot of options. I think the game plan, based on this, was pretty solid.

The offensive line I was pleased with. Knowing that the run was coming nearly every play and the defensive line they were facing (including an extra man in the box most of the time), I think they did an overall good job.

If you can hold this FL team to under 28 points you have a good shot but need production on the O side. I'll be curious to see what changes, if any, take place in the upcoming days.

Are you retarded? We were in scoring position. Get the TD or field goal and kick onside. That was the plan.

You act like Crompton didn't just try to run the 2 minute offense against UCLA and fail harder than any human in history.
