Please post in this poll ONLY if you are advocating that UT rehire Lane Kiffin as Head Coach.

I think it will be interesting to see if it’s more younger or older people support the move.

No hidden motives or bashing intended.
Just thought it would be informative.

Oh look. A thread where the people who support or oppose Lane can get bashed on their age.

I can see it now. If you are under 35 and want Lane, "you're just a young millenial who doesn't know anything" If you are over 35 and oppose Lane, "you just want a nice guy and buddy who represents the program well more than you want to win."

Sweet mercy!

Where did you get that idea?g
I do think that younger people will be more willing to forgive the way that Kiffin left UT before than older people like me might be.
But, I might be wrong.
Hence, the poll to find out.

It does not really matter at this point. Give him a 3 year 3.5 per year deal, few incentives, let him prove himself. He’s an offensive genius, has connections and already probably knows what and who he wants on staff.

Bet he goes 8-4 next year has a top 3 recruiting class, and competing in sec champ games while getting a raise and extension.

What does it matter what someone's age group is?

Really it doesn’t. The OP is probably wanting to point out the younger generation’s affinity for flashy things with no substance. With that said I would take him back just to get some stability for recruiting purposes. I am in the 25 to 34 scale. I don’t like the idea of hiring him back but it would work with this particular situation.

The best thing about a Kiffin hire would be seeing what kind of hot chicks he sends out to high school football games on recruiting trips.

Bet I’m older than you.
Two weeks ago, I’d be a definite no.
Today, I’m leaning hard the other way.
Things change.
The Haslams and their lackey Currie have put us in a very difficult situation. I wish someone not named Haslam was hiring our new coach.

Thanks for the laugh, Sky.
If I remember, didn’t that happen before when he sent his BIL and Lacey Earl? To S.carolina? On a recruiting trip.

Yep, ol' Lacey Earps. "The Closer" :eek:lol:

I can't remember if it was South Carolina or Southern Cal. I think it was Southern Cal.

I'd be curious to see the split between alum vs non-alum

I went to UT Martin, but have been to my fair share of UT games starting in 2002 up to this year.

I know being an Alum is a different animal, but I feel pretty invested in Tennessee Football.

Be advised that this poll is highly suspect because there is no baseline as to how many people posting/viewing on this site fit in these demographics. My guess is the vast majority of posters/viewers on VolNation fit in the two demographic age ranges that far lead the pack.

Johnny Majors was quoted as saying at the KQC meeting that Of we brought him back he would win and at 69 I know that's the most important criteria for Tennessee football.
