There is a GPA requirement. By Jr/Sr year, does require a 3.0

Shoot, I think when I was going to UT from 2006-2010, it required a 3.0 GPA the entire time (with a probationary period of one semester if it dipped below that). I may be wrong though...I didn't flirt with that line.

My son missed his honors target of 3.5 by .002! Lost $1250 dollars of scholarship money. Dad was not happy.

HS requires either a GPA or ACT/SAT score to be awarded. Once in college, there is a GPA requirement to keep the Hope scholarship.

He's in honors college at WCU. He took a heavy load and missed. So, I guess he's on probation until fall grades come out. He's almost finished with his honors courses, though.
