Those calling for Fulmer's head

Vol fans and I am a big vol fan, but those of you that think this group of coaches can coach are not thinking straight. Do you remember how much talent they had in the mid 90's and did nothing with it. As much as I respect these coaches, I think it is time for them to move on.

Nothing?? Are you sure?

I remember the amount of talent we had in the mid 90's and how we did something with hit. A one loss season in 1995, where we ended up in the top five of the Final Poll. A SEC championship in 1997, and then again in 1998 and a national championship.

Is that doing nothing with the talent we had?

Get real. I know you want Fulmer to leave, but stop trying to rewrite his winning history.

I find it odd you used the word history instead of tradition.

I could go either way with history or tradition. Same thing for us, but if I used tradition, it is true that Fulmer has not lived up to the 1 loss seasons like we used to have.

Not an attack on Fulmer, just pointing out facts. So let me keep my Fulmerite tag. lol.

Just a play on words, Bobby D!

We can't keep living in the distant past. We need to look at the more recent past. The more recent past shows a different story, a less stellar performance as far as win/loss record especially against the higher rated teams. If mediocrity is our goal, then by all means let's keep doing what we are doing. But, if excellence is our goal we need to go beyond what we are doing and improve our winning percentages against the higher rated teams.:hi:

List of coaches in the SEC who own Fulmer:

1. Spurrier
2. Richt
3. Tubberville
4. Meyer
5. Saban

Does anyone honestly think Fulmer is going to have a year where he beats all these guys?

I have always been a Fulmer supporter, but now I am getting frustrated. I don't know what the answer is but something has to give. I don't know if it's the coaching, recruiting, players, etc. Maybe it's a little of each. I want the Vols to be a powerhouse again. Teams used to fear the Vols. I don't think many do anymore.

There needs to be a change within the UT organization. Yes we improved from last year but there was honestly no where to go but up from that horrific year. Time for a change, my vote is for Jon Gruden to come back to UT as the HC anc clean house except for Trooper, the only one on the staff with some fire in his eyes!

Yeah he did do something with that talent...almost a DECADE ago. Why should be keep excepting 4 loss seasons because of something that happened last century??????

Please tell everyone why Gruden is a good choice. He's not been so hot in the past couple of years after his SB win w/ Dungy's team.

I would think that most Pro coaches come to college and do very well. Look at Pete carroll, Charley Wise, and even Bill Callahan has done a good job bringing nebraska back to being a somewhat solid team.
