the added drama of quitting, firing, not going to give money anymore, blah, blah, is a necessity on VN.
Losing a game because the other team made plays while we made mistakes isn't possible anymore.
and most of the original staff were not his hires and the ones he did hire were the best he could do at the time. I'm sure some of it is on DD but he was handicapped by some stupid contracts from the start. The one drastic change that needed to be made was Chaney and that didn't happen. We will never win with a lot of success in the SEC with him as OC. He just doesn't understand what it takes to win in the SEC.New coaching staff is on Dooley. They all bailed on him for a reason. We're finding out why now....

What in 2 seasons, and 3 games into this season, makes you believe that this will some how change in the near future?? Knoxville and Neyland was the most electric I have ever felt it, since starting to come to games in 2002, and this performance is going to keep that from happening again this year, and probably the rest of Dooley's career he as well. Everyone was supporting Dooley and Co. to get it done, even myself, but after this game, we have enough data to understand that we don't have what we need to win in Knoxville. When Majors took over, we sucked for a while, but the difference between Dooley and Majors, Majors had a NC under his belt, and was an legend here, so he had much more leeway to work, and for good reason.
I am talking about last nights game, not the past 2 seasons. We didn't lose games last year because we didn't make 3 or 4 plays.
We lost last nights game because we didn't make a few plays and they did. Nothing more. Nothing less.
I will wait and see how the year plays out, and the future will take care of itself. What good does it do to worry about it if you already know the future? You already know he sucks. He already lost your support. He isn't going to be fired after losing that game.
Was it Dooleys fault Bray couldn't hit the broad side of a barn tonight? Was it Dooleys fault Hunter and CP dropped passes? Was it Dooleys fault the D was gased cause our offense couldnt convert in the 2nd half? Our boys were off tonight and too many of you are just too F***in stupid to just support our guys and move on! The players did not execute and we lost!!
Theres a long way to go. Learn from it and move on. It pains me that so many Vol fans are F***in retards!
Flame away!!!!

Chaney hardly even tried to give the ball to UTs biggest playmaker all game. I can't think of one time UT gave the ball to Patterson in open space and let him work. This pass first spread will not work in the SEC, it never will.
Im starting to come to the conclusion that Dooley can only beat teams he out talents, but the problem is, you can't out talent any of the top schools in the SEC.
He has all year to prove himself to the fanbase, but their is really no excuse for this loss. UT allowed a very young offense, including a 19 year old quarterback, to have over 500 yards of total offense.
Hey dumb###, dooley inherited a team 3 years ago that was Awful, even Gen Neyland couldn't win with that bunch. It takes a long time to make chicken salad out of chicken sh#*! I agree with original poster. Fans quit last night too, leaving game early in 4th qrt, Sad

No no no no no. Stop right there. We are NOT in a poor talent state AT ALL. We have awesome talent on our team. I still think that on paper we are even with Florida. For the first time in a long time, we are every bit as talented as they are. There are plenty of coaches who would love to take over our current roster. And I bet most of them would have beat Florida with this roster, too. I'll give you Driskel though, he played quite well tonight. He impressed me. But still, it isn't as simple as you make it seem.
I just don't know how much longer people are going to keep making excuses for Dooley. At some point, you have to WIN.
Not goin' to read the whole thread so maybe this has been pointed out, but it is Dooley's fault we have no run game. It's Dooley's fault that he kept Chaney when that offense will never work in the SEC. Pass first oriented offenses do not get the job done against SEC defenses. If You can't run, you can't keep their D on the field and tire them out. The gators running is what gassed our D.
And to use your own words, if you can't see that then you're just to f***in stupid to understand SEC football.
I like Dooley, think he's a quality guy, but he's not getting it done. He should have tabbed a new OC in the offseason that understands SEC football. You would think growing up in it, he'd know how SEC football works. After all, he witnessed Walker at UGA firsthand. And tonight's loss doesn't help us with recruits. How do you sell a program that really hasn't shown improvement since his arrival? We've still got the rest of the season to play and maybe, just maybe, things will get better, but you can't sell failure to bluechip recruits.
