Let's get serious. Berry is the more dynamic DB by far. Just ask LSU receivers which one is better.

Right...did you actually pay any attention to the NC last year? He got beat on one TD but the rest of the game he played well and had an INT. It wasn't his fault they lost. And call me crazy I'm pretty sure the Thorpe is based on this season.

Junkins year went out the window vs SC, they dominated him

USC passed all over OSU but they didn't "dominate" Jenkins. They barely threw it towards his guy most of the game. There's a reason he's considered maybe the top CB in the next draft.

And Berry is clearly outplaying him. Even in our loses he still makes big hits and is making plays. He doesn't disappear from games.

Here are the top DB's in the nation
1) Eric Berry: Everyone knows he's the most athletic, talented, and dynamic DB in the nation.. hands down..
2) Alphonso Smith Wake Forest: He's probably had more game winning TD's from interceptions than i can ever remember any other CB.. he can also lay the wood, but he's still a lil under berry's level of play..
3) Malcom Jenkings: He's a beast also.. him and Alphonso Smith are pretty much equal, but he doesnt make as many game changing plays as Smith and Berry do..

Berry's playing great and would deserve the Thorpe but you obviously haven't watched OSU play if you say he's clearly outplaying Jenkins. And I don't know what you're saying about disappearing from games. He's been their best defensive player in every game this season.

If not for James Laurinaitis, Jenkins would get a lot more well-deserved publicity.

I've watched him. I actually like him. It's just Berry brings more to the table as a player. He just has that it factor. He will dominate an offense when given the chance.

I can agree with that about Berry. If UT was winning and he played offense, he's good enough to win the Heisman. I would rank him above Jenkins for the Thorpe as of now but it's close.

agreed, easily the most overrated player in the nation. lil animal is good at getting mauled by FBs and jumping onto tackle piles late

Yeah Laurinaitis was definitely abused by LSU last year. like 19 tackles, and most were because he let his man catch the ball. He is a little overrated but another thing is the dline of OSU doesn't do a good job of freeing him up. He'll still be a good one in the NFL if he has good DTs letting him make plays.

His problem is he doesn't play downhill enough.
