That place is ugly on the outside - it is 70's-tough in a rusted-orange shag carpet with pet poop stains kinda way.

With how boxy it is, They should paint the outside a giant orange and white checkerboard around the top layer.

To add some pizazz, I think a giant, illuminated, rotating Power - T would add some class.

Also, a giant megaphone where Coach BJ can give an inspirational quip every morning at 8am to campus.

Gotta imagine you can get bubba and brucey to paint the outside of that sucker for less than $1m.

Granted I haven't seen it in person since but on TV and in photos that I have seen I've thought since they did the brick work and some of the new signage etc.. that it doesn't look all that bad.

The outside doesn't match the inside I agree on that, needs to be modernized IMO. Look at other newer arenas, outside doesn't compare, but inside is nice.

I agree with bleedingTN--the outside is actually pretty nice, esp. with the new renovations. But, there's big differences between modern/attractive vs. tacky/anti-swag.
