Old news. We're working out a new deal with Thompson. I expect we'll do the same with Chaney.

As long as we have the "Big Three" let the others come and go. It might be a springboard for coaches wanting a big shot so we will get some good ones along the way trying to prove their worth.

Thompson is learning under Monte to become a DC. If offerred I think he will go.

I doubt Thompson stays. He will be getting some good offers and he needs to jump on one of them.

Lance was a DC at UCF for three years. He's not learning "to become one". I doubt very seriously at his current salary UT has much room to sweeten the pot.

According to Brent Hubbs, UT is working on a new deal for CLT.

Thompson would be a huge loss, you can't deny his abilities, especially in recruiting, hope they lock both of them down though.

In an article during the offseason, Thompson said that the reason he left Alabama to come to Knoxville was so he could work under Monte Kiffin, because he didn't want his career to play out with him being seen as just a recruiter. Apparently he came here because he didn't want to be Rodney Garner.
