Just in: Graham is drafting bi-partisan legislation that protects Sessions and Mueller from being directly fired by Trump. It would have to go before a judicial board before they could be fired. Should be brought to vote next week

This is funny

And irrelevant.

Newt says Scaramucci needs to cool it and "learn the business". Ha. These Washington toads don't realize their "business" is what people are sick of. The business of sleezy Washington politics. They all need to go get real jobs and see what it's like to learn a business

And yet, Graham cheered Trump on when he fired Sally Yates.

Hypocrite.

He didn't have a choice, I happened to think that Yates was a smart, capable, competent AG, but she defied his order openly.

Sessions is a douche but he didn't do anything that warrants the treatment he's receiving. The trumpo machine is planting the seeds, putting out the "feelers" as not to get caught in another abrupt Comey canning/blow-back situation.

He's running his cabinet like a McDonalds. Fry cooks are easy to replace, AG's aren't. I think you'll find that the Senate will protect one if it's own, even across party lines.

This love for Trump just because he is shaking things up and doing things differently can go too far.

I recall something about a baby and some bath water.

No, I agree Trump didn't get a choice in that matter. You don't openly defy the POTUS at her level. I'm saying Graham openly cheered her firing, yet tries to introduce this kind of nonsense. The POTUS picks their Cabinet on the advice and consent of the Senate. There is nothing in the Constitution that says they are allowed to say who he can't fire. Unless he's declared mentally unfit for the position, of course.

And I think the whole idea of the Senate "supporting" Sessions across party lines is a farce as well. His nomination was a 52-47 vote. Which means a party line split. To take up for him now is just a slap in the face.

I think the issue is far simpler.

Even though support for Sessions was maybe somewhat lukewarm, he and Priebus are seen now as the only two people in there right now who can prevent things from going completely off the rails should a true crisis emerge.

Trump is obviously in a bunker mentality now. He is surrounding himself with people he trusts, even if they are unqualified. He is becoming increasingly paranoid about loyalty, leaks, and he exaggerates in his own mind any slight against him.

He is also showing signs of mental fatigue and a bit of a break down, comparing himself to Lincoln, making odd comments, and tweeting sometimes pretty much anything that comes into his head.

Witness the two Senators yesterday talking about him being crazy.

I don't think that was just a cavalier comment. I think there is real concern that Trump might just lose it at any given moment, and folks want to see some steady leadership at the helm if it all breaks loose.

I mean, can you imagine if Mueller for example really starts delving in to Trump finances, Trump objects, but Mueller is going to be able to get into it? Trump is capable of some pretty wacked out stuff if that investigation starts downhill on him.

The Trump administration is a freakin' dumpster fire and everybody knows it...but Trump. Press secretary--incompetent but then who can REALLY defensd the jackass in the White House without looking stupid himself (the Mooch!)--has resigned. The head of the ethics bureau (in the job for 17 years) resigned, saying that Trumpsters were in serious violation of ethics rules and laws.

Trump has spent a week trying to humiliate and bully his attorney general because the AG didn't help him cover up his Russia problem.

Trump reportedly is not happy with his National Security chief because...well, of course there is no rational explanation.

Sec. of State Tillerson is a complete dilettante who's alienated most everybody in the agency--jobs unfilled, morale low, and yet must also spend half is time dealing with crackpot demands from the crazies in the White House who view the State Department as an enemy. Oh, my.

And now we have the Mooch accusing the president's chief of staff of leaking. He will probably be resigning soon. You couldn't have a more ****** administration if you tried. Complete chaos, craziness and incompetency. Oh, the tell-all books will be fun to read.

And let's ask ourselves why there has been a lot of leaks? Because large numbers of people INSIDE the administration knows that Trump is a demented lunatic.

Donald Trump is going to clean up the sleaze? Man, you don't pay much attention to facts and reality, do you? Trump clean up the sleaze in Washington? That's like Hitler checking on the well-being of Jews. :eek:lol:

You seem reasonable...

Besides, I was talking about Scaramucci.

But go ahead, I'm fascinated with what a Hillary supporter thinks of sleazy Washington politics...

Graham may be what you say but he's right about one thing. Sessions is well liked and respected by his Senate colleagues. They really don't appreciate seeing Trump humiliate one of their own in such a public way. Trump's base may not be ready to turn on him yet but don't be surprised if he soon turns on them. Trump is only loyal to Trump.

I said yesterday or the day before that Sessions should tell Trump to FO for throwing him under the bus publicly. .... that's a bush league move

So newly hired tough guy the Mooch gives an interview where he uses profanity and talks about how he's going to fire everyone.

Here's the Mooch denouncing, with vulgar language, both Preibus and Bannon. They've all jumped the shark. Priebus should absolutely punch this little worm in the face a few times--in the White House--and then resign.

The Trump administration is like an ongoing Wrestlemania event, with Trump playing the role of villain Roddy Piper or somesuch. Trump supporters completely synch with wrestling fans, too--same crowd, and it's no accident that wrestling fans who pretend that what they are watching is real are easy believers of all the fake propaganda spewed by the right wing. We'll be seeing cock fights on the WH lawn before long.

Don't forget that insane speech he made to a stadium full of Boy Scouts. Yes, I can see him actually loosing it mentally. I picture him wandering the halls of the W.H. at night in his underwear, phone in hand thinking up tweets.
