And yet, Graham cheered Trump on when he fired Sally Yates.
Hypocrite.
He didn't have a choice, I happened to think that Yates was a smart, capable, competence AG, but she defied him order openly.
Sessions is a douche but he didn't do anything that warrants the treatment he's receiving. The trumpo machine is planting the seeds, putting out the "feelers" as not to get caught in another abrupt Comey canning/blow-back situation.
He's running his cabinet like a McDonalds. Fry cooks are easy to replace, AG's aren't. I think you'll find that the Senate will protect one if it's own, even across party lines.
No, I agree Trump didn't get a choice in that matter. You don't openly defy the POTUS at her level. I'm saying Graham openly cheered her firing, yet tries to introduce this kind of nonsense. The POTUS picks their Cabinet on the advice and consent of the Senate. There is nothing in the Constitution that says they are allowed to say who he can't fire. Unless he's declared mentally unfit for the position, of course.
And I think the whole idea of the Senate "supporting" Sessions across party lines is a farce as well. His nomination was a 52-47 vote. Which means a party line split. To take up for him now is just a slap in the face.
Donald Trump is going to clean up the sleaze? Man, you don't pay much attention to facts and reality, do you? Trump clean up the sleaze in Washington? That's like Hitler checking on the well-being of Jews.lol:
I hope he keeps offering Egg McMuffins all day.He didn't have a choice, I happened to think that Yates was a smart, capable, competent AG, but she defied his order openly.

Graham may be what you say but he's right about one thing. Sessions is well liked and respected by his Senate colleagues. They really don't appreciate seeing Trump humiliate one of their own in such a public way. Trump's base may not be ready to turn on him yet but don't be surprised if he soon turns on them. Trump is only loyal to Trump.
I think the issue is far simpler.
Even though support for Sessions was maybe somewhat lukewarm, he and Priebus are seen now as the only two people in there right now who can prevent things from going completely off the rails should a true crisis emerge.
Trump is obviously in a bunker mentality now. He is surrounding himself with people he trusts, even if they are unqualified. He is becoming increasingly paranoid about loyalty, leaks, and he exaggerates in his own mind any slight against him.
He is also showing signs of mental fatigue and a bit of a break down, comparing himself to Lincoln, making odd comments, and tweeting sometimes pretty much anything that comes into his head.
Witness the two Senators yesterday talking about him being crazy.
I don't think that was just a cavalier comment. I think there is real concern that Trump might just lose it at any given moment, and folks want to see some steady leadership at the helm if it all breaks loose.
I mean, can you imagine if Mueller for example really starts delving in to Trump finances, Trump objects, but Mueller is going to be able to get into it? Trump is capable of some pretty wacked out stuff if that investigation starts downhill on him.
