This weeks new members

Sorry dickens but there were about 4 new member threads on the front page and I think it's best if we combine them. Sorry, don't mean to take away your thunder. :)

I'm new here as well. I'm actually a life-long Texas A&M fan but I've grown to love SEC football over the years, especially Tennessee.

Oh and I absolutely hate Alabama so I'm hoping I'll fit in here.
Started out the post a little weird but redeemed yourself with the Bama hating comment. Why does an A&M fan hate Bama? Cause the dead bear left there for Bama? Anyway, stick around and your misguided allegiance will surely fade...

Well I'm not sure the allegiance will completely fade but I love college football enough to share some of my crazieness.

As for the hatred of Bama, I think it's probably a combination of things. The Bear thing I could kind of understand and it was long before my time. But during the Franchione courtship there were tons of fans from Tusca-loser-ville who downgraded our school and our program and could not believe that anyone would ever actually leave Bama on their own terms. They couldn't fathom the fact that our current facilities, program without sanctions, ect., were enough to entice someone to leave their great program with their X amount of championships from the stone-age.

So "The Third Saturday in October" has become a tradition in my house. I even throw on an orange Vols shirt, which I must say, is a much better looking orange than that burnt crap TU wears. :p
