The receivers cant catch the ball.
And we can NOT tackle!
I have NEVER seen such a weak attempt to tackle in my life. Is it Coaching? Strength and Conditioning? It is embarrassing and confusing.
I know we never hit in practice. I get it. But the lack of tackling skills is baffling

Seems to me that tackling was one of the biggest improvements I noticed on last year's team. Not sure what has happened.

Well said. "Choke" Jones is soft and weak and the team reflects who he is.

He can't handle the SEC. A box of rocks seems like a mensa candidate compared to this utter stooge.....and on top of it all he's got a losers stank that won't come off no matter how many showers of bs and nauseating coach speak he schleps off to the media and fans.

A dumb loser. That's "Choke" Jones.

I'd like to know what this coaching staff is actually coaching during the week. We regress and that's 99.9% the fault of a coaching staff.

Undisciplined and desperate. I'm beginning to think that the coaches actually read these boards. Last week, too much running. We complain about the lack of passes. This week, Dobbs does nothing with his legs. How many times did Hurd get the ball in the second half? This was game 5, CBJ! Where is your identity? Oh...give Medley a hug. Kid needs it.

If they are not hitting in practice then how are all the receivers getting hurt? They are doing nothing ingame except blocking!

It's almost as if Butch just wants to go one way or the other - not adapt, not scheme and plan, and not adjust at all.

too many missed passes tonight. maybe they weren't all catchable, but a few definitely were. when the ball sails through your hands there is no excuse. and I cant count the number of times there were multiple missed tackles on a given play. execution has got to improve.

Maybe INSTEAD of a 4-5 Star Prima Donna.......how bout a 2 Star that wants to hit some body and will catch a pass in traffic and take a hit!!

They've given up on Butch. They aren't soft. If you watch Reeves-Maybin, Sutton, Wolf, and Hurd and think we have a problem being soft, I don't know what to tell you.

I watched the playbacks of the '65 team. Saw the tackles made, passes caught, etc., could not believe it. They played with such force, heart, aggression, don't know what to call it. But gosh! There is no way they are better athletes than what we had on the field last night, but they made this team look like a bunch of little girls in comparison. I'm not knocking the players...I know it may sound like that, but I'm not. Just asking WHY are they not playing with that kind of passion? Is it just some individuals, no matter how gifted, just don't? Is it a coaching thing, is it a canker from within caused by a few soft players, WHY do they not have that aggression on the field?

Edit. Just read jenkins post. He's right on the players he names. What I am asking is across the team...not calling out specific players.

That is SOOOOOOOO true. The freakin piped in music and side shows are replacing blocking and tackling.

Doesn't help when the Denfense is on the field the entire 2nd half.
