But lacks a lot of coaching. Im glad we fired Butch when we did. Pruitt will get us to where we want to be he understands what Tennessee was in the past. We got enough talent to win some games next year we definetly need to fix this offense line immediately. What do ya'll think VN?

I think we need an immediate influx of badazz Olinemen and Dlinemen or all the talent in the world at other positions won't matter.

Winning a couple of SEC games next year would be an improvement over the **** I saw this year. In reality, we are a last place team and probably will remain there next year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Everyone say what they want on here.There are no wrong answers.And if half on here could coach their own team they would go 13-0 every year.

Excepting star rating, the talent has not been apparent at the collegiate level. Maybe it's there, maybe it isn't. But it definitely was not going to manifest itself under the previous regime. Here's hoping for some old dogs learning new tricks from their next set of mentors.

Our schedule will be the biggest obstacle to winning. We 'll be fortunate to finish 6-6. Firmly believe Pruitt can build a winner if every one at every level in the state is behind him, that's a must.

If they can stay healthy and shore up the lines, there is great potential. But if that Oline don't get fixed, its gonna be a long season.

Talent yes, in places. Depth No. No 2nd team at LB or DL or OL.. Good not great till injuries occur. LB speed is very suspect at best. Kirkland may be fast but who knows? Bitulli may be fast but quickness?

What ever it turns out to be, lets support them and we will get better. Have patience.

i think Butch cost us at least 3 games last year. Good game management and coaching them up will get us to a bowl at least.

Then the future is screwed. If Pruitt can't beat the likes of UK, Vandy, Mizzou, and SC this year, not looking too good.

Witch Doctor got the best advice a few years ago, ask " would I bet a 1000.00 of my hard earned money on it?" Witch Doctor SAY YES!!! ALL IN, BET THE FARM ( dont do like I do, Im a horrible gambler. ) talents not depleted but all depends on Feb. signing class. lol

I think that 90% of the reason we lost games. In 2014 2015 2016 & 2017 was due to BAD COACHING & PLAYER. DEVELOPMENT. In 2013 we lost because of talent
So if Pruitt coaches well. And quickly develops players then we will beat Vandy Kentucky South Carolina ETSU. UTEP Missouri And Charlotte and be in a bowl game. With loses to West Virginia Alabama Auburn Florida and Georgia

We can be 40 point underdogs and I'd still believe we can win. I've never bet against the vols in my life. I like your confidence. Realistically I'm thinking 9-4 with a bowl win.

I would love to see a fullback in place and run the power I on 3rd and short and 4th and short. Man thise were the glory days!!
That's how you get an offensive line to give you 150%.

I'm focusing my energy on the roundball teams until March. I'm weary of football talk about UT until the spring game. We got a good coaching staff and they are doing well getting the players they want. UT is gonna be A'IGHT !!!!!!!!:rock:

Injuries, Injuries to areas where there was no depth or the depth was injured as well. Now, that may be partly due to player development in the S&C but, my Gawd that was a massive amount of injuries to the wrong people..

Can be a good team.
If
- Jennings returns
- Gaulden moves to safety
- Byrd moves to CB

- Bituli and Smith need to solidify the LBs
- Freshman need to SHINE on offense. Alontae Taylor needs to see the field. Jeremy Banks need to continue to progress.

Callaway Jennings Taylor and Johnson are solid.

Chandler needs 15 touches a game.
