This team has potential

With decent coaching this team would NOT be 2-5.

With decent coaching this team would be at least two games into (probably more) with HB starting and gaining experience.

This team has talent......it’s just not wearing headphones.
Hell the team should be 6-1 with ANY decent QB and not one who is 9-21 as a starter

Seriously, folks, Bailey shows promise.

Our defense, despite looking lost at times and giving up yards, somehow keeps us in games despite no help from the offense.

Talent at OL. Gray.

HOWEVER, this program will never be good with Pruitt at the helm.

If you put the right staff in place, this thing could start going the right way in a hurry.
Eternal optimism

When you out rush a team like Auburn by almost 60 yards and your overall ypc is 5.4......and you have more passing yards and you lose.......something is wrong bigly!

You got a guy who ran for over 170 at 8 yards per......and you freakin lose by multiple scores......mind boggling.

There is NO excuse......the talent is there......the coaching is NOT!

Get Freeze in here and this team competes for the SEC East next year, There’s a lot of talent on this team but no one to coach it that knows what they’re doing

“Under Freeze, the Ole Miss football program committed various recruiting and academic violations that figured in the NCAA's decision to expunge 27 of Freeze's wins and ban it from post-season play for two years.[4] He resigned from Ole Miss after officials discovered that he had used a university cellphone to call escort services multiple times over the course of five years.[5]

Who cares he wins football games. I’m tired of hiring nice guys that can’t coach and lose.

There are......but who is knocking down the door?

Not to mention Freeze improved every team (he was HC) from day one.

You have no idea. With Bailey in the game it opens up the offense - makes our running backs that much more effective - we gain in time of possession, we score more points, we allow fewer points - we are shockingly better. That much was obvious to me. I am not saying we are necessarily that much better with HB. He needs experience but does a lot of things well. But we are that much better with a competent qb. Not a top 5 in the country qb but a top 40 in the country quarterback. Right now HB will do nicely and he needs the experience for next year anyhow. He led two nice drives - and he was 7 for 10 with one dropped. He knows when to run - sits in the pocket nice and feels and escapes pressure. And he can hand the ball off as nicely as JG. Now he doesn't practice as well and he apparently doesn't have that look in his eye ....but hey.

What happens in KnoxVegas will stay in KnoxVegas. Throw up a couple of poles in the complex and go for it.

With a competent coaching staff, and a properly prepared SEC-level QB, this is a winnable game.

This was a winnable game. Can't missed 2 FGs and throw a pick 6. We not talented enough to overcome that.

I really do believe we have talent across the board. Pruitt does deserve some credit for that. What he can't do is coach.
This feels to me when Buzz Peterson was the coach of UT and Bruce Pearl came in and succeeded day one with his players. We need to find the coach though, because I don't believe it will be Pruitt. We're not going to fire him tough, so we have to make smart changes on the coaching staff to get this fixed.

With a competent QB we are scoring TDs instead of relying on a kicker who has apparently been injured for 6 months to try and keep our offensive drives from being meaningless.
