Position moves: Defensive tackle William Brimfield might move to the offensive line, and Rogan will get some looks at safety instead of cornerback during the next few days, Fulmer said.

I really thought Brimfield would be the next great DT, seemed just like Haynesworth and Henderson, but the move to O suprises me. Watch Rogan be the sleeper star out of this class.

I would like to see what Rogan could do as a rb. I don't think he could be a 20-25 carry type back, but we could use him in a lot of different ways on offense.

From what the coaches were saying at practice I also thought Brimfield would be a great DT. He is a great size for an OL though.

Brimfield is the perfect guy to interchange with DT and OT. He's a mammoth with OK speed. I'd love to see him stay at DT because that's his natural position, but if they want to move him to OT then I'm sure he'll be fine there too.

Brimfield was a 3-star DL coming out of high school. 3-star DLs = converted OLs in Fulmer's system

Does the backfield currently look something like this? I probably have some FS/SS mistakes and the 3/4 messed up...but is this close? I'm suprised that Rogan isn't a better fit at CB ... and it doesn't look like we have a glaring need at Safety. Would he be a FS?

1-CB Eric Berry
2-CB Marsalous Johnson
3-CB Antonio Gaines
4-CB DeAngelo Willingham
5-CB Dennis Rogan (move to Safety?)
6-CB Art Evans
7-CB C.J. Fleming

1-FS Jonathan Hefney
2-FS Antonio Wardlow
3-FS Ricardo Kemp
4-FS Anthony Anderson

1-SS Jarod Parrish
2-SS Nevin McKenzie
3-SS Sinclair Cannon
4-SS Ja'Kouri Williams

FWIW, Justin Britt got a lot of playing time and a few starts at defensive tackle as a freshman. He's now our starting offensive LG for the second season. Also our starting defensive NG Motley used to play center and our starting outside linebacker Zeke Knight played for 2 years as a wide receiver and caught a couple of td's. Now if Saban moves D.J. Hall to safety I'm gonna be p'd!!

It's good seeing Sinclair Cannon on that list. I live a mile from where he went to school and I met Fulmer when he came to his high school's awards banquet. I haven't seen much about him (by now he's probably a junior) but I did see he had several tackles in the last scrimmage. He was an awesome scrambling QB in high school.
