TLDR: Didn’t want them anywayBriningstool: we took better TEs, he was too small
Colson: would be signing here but family making him sign with UM
Kollie: offered too late, wasn’t a take with Lewis committed earlier in the process
Turrentine: wanted at corner, wants to play safety
Pennington: the only actual miss here
Wolfe: back problems and we have 2 4️TEs committed so who cares
Sutton: literally told us he didn’t want to damage his body playing in the SEC
Barnes: VERY overrated. No P5 schools pushing
Adonai Mitchell: better WRs committed in Merrill and Taylor
/thread (and for the record don’t come @ me about taking up for the staff, I’ve called for Pruitt to be canned just as much as anyone here. But this 2021 group of prospects in the state are OVERRATED)

Let me know where a 215lb TE is gonna play SEC ball, please. Campbell would be ranked higher if he was the one committed to Clemson. It’s common knowledge by everyone that Colsons family is making him to go Michigan. And why would we take Prince Kollie back in June when we had the number 1 LB and number 10 LB in the nation committed with a legitimate shot at the number 2 LB??So much BS here. I do have to admit you got every recruiting forum excuse for a miss in there. I see
- He's not good enough for us but good enough for a national power
- Overrated
- We dont want him to play his natural position
- Family forcing him
- We didnt need him. National power that got him needs him.
- We got screwed over by a decommittment
I know a coach, have a family member attending, or a family member coaching at 4 of the 5 schools above. You were right that we just missed the ECS kid. Pruitt is going to miss David Johnson in Memphis.

But I get it, every legitimate reason is an “excuse” when you’re losing. I’m just saying I wouldn’t have recruited most of these kids either. If the same thing happens in 2022 I’ll be just as mad as anyone because most of those kids are legit. Not the case here. Hopefully a better coach is going after them. If we were 6-2 no one would care about this
Does anyone ever look at our actual commits before they look at the list of in state kids?? Or look at who we had committed when said in state kid shut down his recruitment?
We can’t afford to miss on anybody , we need kids who truly want to be here. My son plays college football in a different state but it was the best fit for him. He does miss home but loves his school and coach. In state kids are important but not always make or break. JUST WIN BABY and you will get who you want .
GBO beat the HELL out of candy !!!

I could be wrong but Colaon and Andre Turrentine were only one's we heavily recruited. Brininstool was a national cruit. He never gave us a shot.
Sadly there are a lot of guys this staff "wasn't in love with" that are balling out at other schools. Right now I'd lump their ability to recognize talent down there with their ability to develop quarterbacks and the results of this miserable excuse of a season.I could be wrong but Colaon and Andre Turrentine were only one's we heavily recruited. Word was staff wasnt in love with this 20 in state class, was ready for 21 class. if they arent enamored, then Im with them. They can evaluate and recruit.
Coulda. Shoulda. Woulda. Everyone wants what they can’t have and they always want the next shiny cool thing. Can’t continue pissing in a mud puddle and rolling in it thinking that it’ll change anything.Sadly there are a lot of guys this staff "wasn't in love with" that are balling out at other schools. You’re right. Every undersized 4 star TE that ever signed with a team eventually develops into a 1st rounderMaybe a 215 lb that will get up to 235-240 once in S&C can ask this similarly sized guy...

That 215 lb TE is obviously going to bulk up in college. I dismissed and did not read the rest of your post because of your faulty reasoning on the 1st point.Let me know where a 215lb TE is gonna play SEC ball, please.
