If we could avoid false starts especially right before a crucial field goal attempt, we are in the top 5 and this isn’t even a conversation. Winning the games you’re supposed to takes care of all of that.

An out of conference game against Notre Dame doesn’t factor into who does or doesn’t make the SEC Championship Game at all.

Well if we are gonna use common opponents then the Mississippi state win looks much worse. Texas am was never in danger of losing that game. At the moment it’s hard to not say they are the better team.
That may change if/when we get some of the starters back on defense.

I say we beat Okl at home and lose to Bama at Bama. We are somehow not a good road team.

Texas has the same schedule as us, if you swap A&M out for Bama. A&M’s schedule looks soft because Texas, South Carolina, and Florida aren’t what preseason expectations indicated.

Our schedule is very manageable. We could go 10-2 while only beating one team better than 7-5 again. If we win out, I’d be willing to bet we are in the SEC Championship game

This is true. Look at what Sean Payton did today to the defending champions. Went for 2 to take a 1 point lead. That ended up forcing the Eagles to score a TD to win at the end and took a FG out of the equation. Won the Broncos the game. Heupel coaches too scared in tight situations.

I don't know how long ago A&M's schedule was set, but once upon a time playing Notre Dame, Florida, LSU and Texas was considered a pretty tough schedule. Even SC was ranked something ridiculous early on.

Pre-season, I you made me flip UGA and Bama for LSU and Texas I probably would have considered that a wash at best.
