Although looking at the stats, Arky is averaging 100 more yards through the air than on the ground. That could be the result of falling behind. Would love to see what he can do against the tough OL.

I think this is a much better match up for UT than a lot of people think. They're more of a pro-style offense. Our current defensive players are better suited against this type of attack than they are the air raid/spread systems. If we can develop any sort of killer instinct and score some points in the second half, I'm not too worried about the Razorbacks this weekend.

I like your confidence...mine's about shot...
Sure wish we'd had that killer instinct Saturday. :pardon:

GO VOLS!

Have you watched McKenzie when he's in the game? He's clearly out of shape and is getting whipped fairly regularly. He's going to be good but he's still young and finding his way. I agree he needs some playing time but to think he will play and make a significant difference is either naïve, uninformed, or both

McKenzie has already been playing his fair share of snaps. He played quite a bit against Florida.

I didn't say he would be a difference, only that this is his type of game. He needs snaps against good lines to see what he can do.

McKenzie has drawn a double team every time he's been in. He most definitely ahould be playing more. Go back and look at McKenzie during the 2nd pick of the OU game.

DTs usually rotate, so as long as he is in the rotation getting meaningful snaps, that should be enough. Two players I would like to see get more snaps are Justin Martin and Evan Berry. Moseley and Foreman are getting lit up. It was Foreman who got burnt bad on the two winning TDs in the OK and FLA games. IDK, but I think Martin and Berry give you more size and physicality without giving up much, if any, speed. Kirkland needs to start and play most of the next three games. UT will need his size and athleticism at MLB. I like that Austin Smith is playing, but what about Bryant and McDowell? We are also going to have to get the WRs more touches from here on out. Teams are going to start keying on Hurd and Dobbs.

That's a dumb-arse statement...especially coming from an alleged Vol-fan. He's been double-teamed most of the time, and how in the hell would you know if he "looks out of shape?" That's BS speculation, just like others who claim he's not playing cause he is out of shape. You don't have any way in the world to know that....so stop this job of pretending like you do.

But, but.... He's a 5*, who squats and bench presses as much as the Raiders DL, has legs the size of a Redwood trees, and will be an All American, 1st round draft pick his true freshman year...............................

I still think Moseley is a possible shut down All-SEC corner

Big Mack draws attention. There should be more heat coming when he's in. He has a lot to learn. He's raw. The more he plays the better he will be. He can plug holes and cause trouble but he does draw a lot of attention. He can't beat two people....yet

And got zero push or pressure on the QB.... night and day coming in as a freshman compared to Nkemdiche... he was ready to go and produced instantly and apparently we have an out of shape pudge that needs to grow and develop...sorry.

He is a TRUE FRESHMAN. And playing in the interior line in the toughest LOS conference in the country. Geez, some of you just want to whine and moan about everybody and everything.

So was Nkemdiche, playing in the same conference....against the same teams, against US.... do your homework before you bark...

Have you paid attention to him when he's been playing? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see he has stamina issues--that's not so much of a critique as it is a comment on his youth and inexperience. Remember he didn't play at all last year.

I think right now McKenzie is learning to play in the SEC, remember he took a year off last year. I heard Marshall Faulk talk this morning about how difficult it is to have so much time off, said the only way a player can get better after taking time off is through reps. The conversation was about Fournette and should he take a year off to avoid a possible injury next year. Faulk said NO that he doesn't need a year off he needs a QB. Said he may end up a 2 time Heisman winner

Different player. The exception not the rule. Use some common sense before blasting a true freshman player who has played a whopping four games in his career.

Yep. Tuttle is much further along at this point.

He is a true freshman, not much.

Prime example of where people think things are and where they really are.

Tuttle had the spring, which was huge. Given McKenzie being out his senior season, the spring would have been huge for him, too.

I still expect both of those players to be very good for us in the future.
