This says it all for me.

Really..... folks have shared some social media buzz with her for sure, but she also stated at the end of the session that she was joking and not going to sign up..... so don't be expecting to share with her in person... very little value add to mix it up with those that find no issue in refusing the concept of moral victories but want to feature moral defeats at every possible turn.... CPF needs to deal with the realities straight up ignoring those that migrate to and maintain either end of the extremes spectrum.... as usual the truth is somewhere in the middle... timing is everything in world of coaching. His relationship with those he has hired to date should put him in a good position when having his people talk to their (candidates) people... Giving the appearance of pulling the trigger mid season is not a plus with those who might need to complete a season somewhere down the road. Putting a few hypotheticals out there and researching contractual issues on some folks who wink back is good place to start before March... refining the A List is always in play.

hired someone to date?
what?

What says it all for me is Mizzou coach praising Vols by saying its a team of McDonald's All Americans...so there you go. Then throwing out fake praise by saying Holly has done a great job "navigating the peaks and valleys" of the season. What BS
. With a team of All Americans they shouldn't be struggling to make an NCAA tournament they haven't missed in 37 years....and having these do or die games they eke out by a ref missing a key call. Although admittedly it was a nice road win regardless. Point is...this program has fallen precipitously for no good reason....outside of the obvious answer that they are being led by an inept...unqualified clown of a coach....who is lucky enough to win the games she does due to the talent level on the team.

This is Holly's chance to prove she knows how to coach. Instead of sniping at social media, she needs to be concerned about the rest of the season and how to propel her team to an NCAA bid. This would go along way to quieting her critics. This is only one game and one win, which one might attribute to a no call, Holly has miles to go before she is out of the woods. I must admit that I liked her lineup using Davis at the four, C. Green at the five and a three guard lineup with Jackson, Z. Green and Westbrook.

Do you understand that this is a very brief summary of a ten minute press conference and not the totality of all Holly said.

And in the context of this longer press conference, where she praised the effort and determination of her team, she made a joke about all the negative social media buzz that the team endured during the losing streak.

That was not taunting at all but you are all bent out of shape over these comments? that says more about you than Holly

Yeah, there are a few people here who are really bent out of shape that we've been winning so much the last few weeks. It makes them worry that their desire for her to be fired isn't gonna realized, so they're kicking it up a notch or two.

I do not think that people are bent out of shape when we win, in reality they are bent out of shape because of the misuse of talent, failure to come up with a consistent offense, misuse of timeouts, late season letdowns, losing to the likes of Arkansas and Alabama, the lack of a top ten program with a boatload of 5 stars, starting ranked in the top ten then falling out of the top 25, starting the season with high hope and fizzling out for not any good reason, etc. If Holly started winning and coaching like a top ten coach, it is doubtful anyone would be bent out of shape. In reality, the ball is in Holly's court.

Could be that she has a little hope since 78% of the minutes and 84% of the points were provided by freshmen and sophmores.... now the composition of the team is her responsibility as well, but she can be proud of their growth.... some still have a longer way to go, but she should be proud of their growth even if they are not where they need to be... whoever is coach next year has some talent to deal with and will be adding the number 2 player in the land and a couple of new post players taller than what we got.... their abilities upon arrival will be key to progress next year.... would not hurt if our grad transfer gets that extra year.....

So I guess CPF has to decide if she should get another year or not.... he might have a little better insight into situation than the rest of us. I will go with whatever he decides and would guess the timing and availability of A list replacements is part of the equation.... need to get the next move right and having to move down the list could net us another series of losers like those that followed him.....
If we get a new coach, the talent that they have to work with could drastically change. There’s no guarantee anyone who is currently on the roster or who has committed to come will stay with TN. I’m not sure why everyone doesn’t take that into consideration when they’re calling for Holly’s firing.

THANK YOU!!! I’m convinced some people are bigger haters of Holly’s than fans of the Lady Vols. She’s the coach...DEAL WITH IT!

Yep, much ado about nothing. Grasping at straws.

Wow, acting entitled , thin skinned and bitter. Doesn't have a social media account...right, she gets daily summary reports from her assistant specializing in defense .

That is a good idea. Promote Holly to get her out of the way. The girls are winning in spite of Holly; not, because of her.

Holly can't draw up an inbound play to get off a shot to save her life.

The girls are winning purely playing street ball.
Nope she’s sucked enough money from the university over these many years. Just go away and enjoy your spoils.

Im sorry...……….…….but in this case PHIL is a PHOOL and will keep her!!

Guys, the talent coming in next season doesn't need to be disturbed....If Holly is let go now, one or more of these talented ladies may fly away.....

Yes, I know it before you say it...But if Holly fails next season, once this talent is here and enrolled, then and only then, should a move be made for a new coach....

Phil is no fool....

holly has moments where she looks like she wants to make the turn.
(she used a timeout to stop a run this past game)
If she can realize that she can listen to many instead of listening to one,
she will begin to learn what some of us think we already know.

This team is on the right course again.
They strung wins after a defeat,,,that is growth to me.
As long as I see growth, I can wait on the next administration for my shot.

Well yes to the thread title... this does say it all doesn't it

Holly has had an incredibly long time to show SOMETHING....

with Missouri.... Robin is getting more out of her players than Holly....

the saddest thing is.... after watching Oregon Oregon State..... THAT is what women's basketball should be

and we are not even CLOSE

Aside from being dismayed that a head coach competing for recruits would not have a social media account, I wasn't bothered by anything she said. She's beleaguered and got a road win, and played with it a little. I don't see anything to get worked up about. Maybe the "me" thing but, I mean, she's right ... so ... eh? Better than reading a lot of "I don't know" after a loss, at least.

There's middle ground here and I'm currently mired in it. I confess that when they win (and I'd argue that beating Auburn and Mizzu is only "winning so much" in the new lower standard atmosphere) I'm genuinely torn. I think, I hope, I'm happier for the kids than I am terrified of anything that remotely might keep the current coaching situation status quo. But not by much.

I hate feeling that way! I've said over and over, I just want LV bball to be fun again, for the kids, the coaches, and most of all for me. And this drama, agony, and raging inconsistency is just no fun. Since I became convinced about this time last year that my fun is never going to be restored under Holly, I do worry that if she somehow pulls a rabbit out of a hat it will be an excuse to keep digging the hole we're in deeper and deeper.

It's in no way personal to CHW; in fact, I feel very sad and sorry for her that under tragic and gut-wrenching circumstances of being handed off the job she has just not been able to get it done. I also don't think my definition of restored fun is unreasonable - consistent, competitive, and constantly improving play.

I can't help it, it creeps in. When we win, I'm very happy for the players who are the biggest reason I advocate for a coaching change. But for the longterm good of the rapidly declining program I don't want anything to prolong the current situation. If this makes me a ridiculously negative fan I guess that's what I am.

this thread is a wonderful example of why the LV coach should have a social media account. the only thing this thread is lacking is a tweet from the President of the United States

This is what I am going to say about Holly that she has to address. The recruitment of players should start with how much heart they have Coach could tell if the recruit had heart and the great coaches can do that. I turned to watch something else after five minutes I could see that key players were not ready to play. What can you do. Role players follow the leadership. Z Green is a budding superstar. She is not ready to carry the team but she will try. That is what heart will do. Rennia could carry the team but it Doesn’t seem to be in her nature to want to shine to britely or I really over estimate her ability. Then we have players that seem to be somewhere else. Holly you have the coaching skill you may have to increase the discipline level. Go Lady Vols has
