That last run by Stephens...just unbelievable.
It's been a while since we've had a player like that.

That hit on the QB right at the :40 mark is brutal.

Oh, and anyone who thinks that Casey Clausen wasn't a gamer can blow me.

It seems like for the last few years that we are always wishing to go back to our last QB, and we are never satisfied with a Qb till they are gone

Great game that I remember well. Though sad to say it's been 8 years since the VOLS took it to a very talented and well coached UF football team. :frown:

Having two DL the likes of John Henderson and Albert Hayensworth disrupting the OL with Overstreet and Bernard rushing from the ends were wreaking havoc on UF offense that evening. Hopefully within a few years and top recruiting classes, the VOLS will have some "gems" along the front four DL.

IMO, that's the key to disrupting the UF spread offense, having a strong front four that can dictate the flow of the game.

I hope thats how Bryce runs. He was a freaking BEAST in that game. Thats the game where I believe Spurrier said "they beat us at every part of the game" or something of that nature.

Casey Clausen is in the TOP 5 easily in UT history. I would take him (in college) over Peyton if I were playin FL. only FL though.

Before I get called out, lol, Peyton is the best we've had EVER.

I like C Clausen but he had little to do with that game. That was the olineman, dlineman and t henry.
I also remember j witten having a terrible game that day.

Casey had more to do with that game than Henry did

Best away game experience I ever had. My one and only trip to the swamp, I picked a good one.

I didn't go to this one, but my best away game experience was UK in 2007. UK's stadium and atmosphere isn't great, but man that game had so many emotional highs and lows, esp. with a trip to the SECC game on the line.

Man I forgot the pounding that Sexy Rexy Grossman took in that game.

Just seeing that we had Albert Haynesworth and John Henderson on the same DL is so freaking SICK.

Damn you, Matt Mauck. Damn you straight to hell.

Yes, he did. He fumbled in the first half and then juggled a pass that got intercepted, that he should've easily caught. He blocked really well in the 2nd half though.

The officiating, also, was HORRIBLE in this game. Some serious homecookin'. Grossman threw a backwards pass that the Vols recovered and the refs ruled it incomplete, I think Witten's foot was OOB when they said he fumbled, and another time Grossman was sacked and fumbled and they said his arm was going forward and ruled it incomplete...his arm didn't move at all. It was an unbelievably awesome game, and one of the worst officiated games I have ever watched.

That was Travis Stephens in the backfield in 2001.

Travis Henry's last game was against Kansas St. in the Cotton bowl about 11 months prior to the game with UF(a.k.a. the Frozen bowl, da*n it was freezing that day!)

Casey Clausen was 4-0 @ Florida and Alabama. Yes those weren't the Florida and Alabama teams like they are today. But seems like Casey Clausen was the most hated QB at Tennessee, because of his laid back California mood. But the bottom line is that he won some big football games. It wasn't his fault we lost to LSU in the '01 Cship game. Put him under Cutcliffe's wing and see how good he could have been. Clausen wasn't no 5-star All-American, but he was a good solid SEC QB.
