But what did everyone expect?

This team hasn't been coached in 5 years. Our Oline is softer than Angel's voices. Our team still has the mentality of the old coaching staff. Pruitt is a first year head coach learning in the toughest conference in the country. This isn't a conference to learn on the job. It's not his fault he was thrown into this madness and I don't blame him for taking the job. He may regret it in the end. It's been a career ender for most coaches.
This teams needs a swift kick in the ass. There is no way you can be this damn bad.

I expected this team to fight and not GIVE the game to the gators. Obviously, that was far too much to ask from these kids. This is most definitely not Pruitts fault - but if it is anything close to this by the end of next year, yes, it will be.

I expected to lose, expected to compete for 2 quarters, expected to see some fire from us even when down, expected to see basic fundamental football even when the guy in front if you is better and is winning the battle. Apparently I expected too much outside of the loss.

Until the players that still carry the Lyle mentality are gone we will continue to look like a Lyle coached team. Those kids are boom or bust, there was no in between when he was here and the kids still act that way.
Sadly Lyle left us worse than Dooley could’ve ever dreamed. Not only did he lose his classes heavy with “diamond in the rough” players but what makes them worse is that they were coached out of all their natural talent and forced to do things Lyles way and now they don’t any other way than the fundamentally weak style they’ve have beaten into them. It will take a couple years to unlearn all the bad coaching and just get back to their natural instincts. The. And only then can they be coached up

I expected more, a lot more. Won't be the first time I've been wrong. What confuses the hell out of me is that a school that's supposed to be a "football" school can be this sh!tty for so long. I just don't get it .
