This May Shock You

I disagree, by saying that you discount that Saban rebuilt the program. All Miles has done is sustain the momentum.

I never said Saban did not rebuild LSU's program... but lets be honest. LSU's program was so pitiful before Saban coming in... I find it hard to believe that Lou Holtz couldn't have done it.
In all fairness he might have brought back LSu football, or at the minimum brought LSU football back into peoples interest... but he was not as successful in his 5 years as Miles has been in his 1st 3. The records speak for itself... hell Saban lost to Iowa in the Outback Bowl the year after winning a National Title.

That's dangerously close to what I attribute to CUM (and Zook if any credit is given to him).

These are the Gator loyal children of the Spurrier-era, and eventually they will grow too old for college football. There's competition for the Florida talent if FSU or Miami ever rejoin the ranks of competitive college football.

At LSU, really, all one has to do is put up a sign and they'll get loads of talent without anyone who can draw them out of state. Saban only needed to be decent. How anyone can lose at LSU is the better question, IMO.

Now there are many more facts to support this argument, but why on earth wouldn't we expect the same great things out of our own program?

how quickly they forget...Im no LSU expert, but werent there a few coaches that tired before Saban, I remember Curly Hallman. Sure the record speaks for itself, Miles walked into a program brimming with talent. You said it Saban walked into a mess. You strike me as someone that's only been an LSU fan since Saban won the NC.

Sitting in Orangesquare's basement listening to Flock of Seagulls and Cindi Lauper!
:eek:lol::thumbsup: Let me guess.........."girls just want to have fun"?

What happened to LSUGuy? Their board is a little slower than VolNation, but he could make an effort here, right?

Come on Tiger.. they'll cut you some slack, but be careful. Daniel is here somewhere (and Rex, i know that was lions, but hypothetically, he could have handled Tigers too, correct?).

let's see how many threads we can get moved to the pub.........

I get the feeling that Lex was big on aha!

Throw the key away....I don't know what else to say but I'll say it anyway today is not my day to find you shying away, but I'll be coming for your love ok....

Well i'll be nice and not comment on what you strike me as... but you're hugely mistaken. Again... I think the guys Saban surrounded himself with was what brought in talent, not Saban. Give the guy a chance and he'll bring embarassment and NCAA sanctions to his program... look at Bama now. Miles may have had the talent to begin with... but it hasn't been drying up either... so he's done something right I guess.
Besides... a bad coach can ruin talent... a good coach makes it better.
