If only there were another example of this to prove your point. A coach that was wildly successful at LSU, then mediocre when he left....
Look I could care less about what you or anyone else think about Les Miles... but for you to sit here and brag about being a minister... remember this... "Thou Shall Not Judge".
he rubs me the wrong way too, but i gotta say some of hte things he's done this year, i really haven't had a problem with.
he's stood up for his team, he's called games to WIN them, made gutsy/boneheaded (dpending on your POV) calls during games etc.....i think the players have responded well to all of that.
having said that, if half those decisions he made go the wrong way, moron would be the term of choice to describe him.
I was not aware of the cussing out of a female- highly innappropriate. I think he's a pretty smart football coach but as a person, I agree with what yall are saying. He is shady to say the least and Im still not sold on him not leaving LSU before next season. Is that contract actually signed? I mean really, did he physically sign it yet? Anybody know?
Miles signed a contract extension through 2012 yesterday. He's staying at LSU.
that's all fine well and good. but unorthodox would be describing Miles' decision making throughout the season in the most forgiving fashion. That's any coach... plays/ chances work you're the hero... if they don't then you're the goat. That's athletics in todays sports world. But a 33-6 record in 3 years including a win over Miami in the Peach Bowl, a win over ND in the BCS Sugar, an SEC Championship and a BCS NC birth... not bad in his 1st 3 seasons.
If ya wanna see an example of a jerk off couch who is arrogant, vile and just plain foul... look at Saban.
Many of these guys are much harder on CPF. This is one of the most positive CPF threads to date.
As a Vols fan, I'm glad to see some of this 'judgement' turning on other coaches... and it's only natural that it'd be the ones who are winning. Take it as complement, in a weird message board kind of way.
Write something extremely positive about Fulmer... and you'll see what I mean.
Yeah I hear ya... success breeds jealousy and criticism is the sincerist form of flattery. But to be honest... what's so bad about Miles. He got angry over false reports of the UM situation (who wouldn't) atleast he's not a disgraceful liar like another well know EX-LSU coach. And he's stood by his team at all costs.
