This May Shock You

Miles is a terrible gameday coach that has a lot of luck and is surrounded by good assistants. He can find a way to almost lose every game. Thanks to luck, and talent, his team is more-or-less idiot-proof.

as I was watching the game I was just amazed at how talented LSU is, how Flynn could start over RP is beyond me. when it comes to physical ability, I dont think anyone in the country can beat out RP. When you have a guy that talented you have to get him ready to play, period.

Rumor in Atlanta is that if Tenuta is not offered the Tech job he will become the DC at LSU. Bad news.

I don't think it's all that bad for the rest of the SEC.

I think going from Pelini to Tenuta is a downgrade.

LSU will still have athletes, and their defense will be stout, but I don't think it'll be any better under Tenuta.

Really, thats terrible news for the rest of the SEC. I swear I heard Tenuta had interviewed for the Tech job and was waiting to hear the results? he was on the radio saying he really wanted it and he hoped he had interveiwed well.

Interesting.

Tenuta blitzes like hell. His defenses have been okay.

I think Pelini is head and shoulders above Tenuta.

I dont really expect most people in Louisana to let class factor into their decision, but as for my opinion, Miles is an embarassment. At least Phil, for all his issues, reps the university ant the state very well. Also, Phil, please, please, please, win the bowl game. I am so tired of ending the year on a negative note. Last year hurt all summer.

There are good and bad people everywhere. Tennessee has plenty of both. I was born and raised here in East Tennessee, but lived in Louisiana for 17 years. I always found most of the people that I was around to be okay, but again I'm sure there were many with 'no class', just didn't run into them. As for Miles being an embarassment, he does come across a little too strongly at times. With that said, you also come across a little too strongly for someone who claims to be in the ministry.

my understanding was that Tenuta would have went to Michigan with Miles. Since Miles is staying and Pelini is leaving it makes since that Tenuta would come to LSU. Tenuta is a downgrade, but if Tech chooses a current SEC Offensive who wants to be a coach again, so a David Cutcliffe, and Tenuta replaces Pelini at LSU i'd call it a good day for UT.

I do not think the Michigan Job is a complete Closure...I think Miles was lying through his teeth Sat... and today he hesitated some of his comments about Michigan and communications....I think he had to do what he did on Sat and if they were not in the Championship Game he would have announced he is headed to Michigan today...

We will soon see but I do not feel it is over with yet...

you can pm your address and I'll mail you a copy of my ministry credentials. I dont have the time to look it up for you, but I think that it's widely acknowledged that Louisana is the single most corrupt state in the country. Why is it that if you offer an opinion, people want to question if you're a Christian? By the way, my dad graduated from LSU and my family lived in Louisana for several years (not me, the Lord blessed me by sparing my that experience). "A little strongly at times"? give me a break, he's a classless jerk.

You guys are probably both right, however, Tenuta had some pretty stout defenses at Tech.

Winning Jerks are not always remembered well in history... Has everyone forgotten Woody Hayes and KY Basketball Coach Eddie Sutton. Both were winners but!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2 Corinthians 12:9-11

9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Speaking of ad hominem, this is a perfect example of one:

Lawgator: "I'm a huge Gator fan."
Rexvol: "Well, your mullet, gold chain, jean shorts, and tank top sort of gave you away."

rex, there are some people who think a good representative of the program/university/state (and the hfc at UTK does represent all 3 of those at times) should be an articulate, media savvy person with an exemplary personal appearance. I think those attributes are particularly important if you're not delivering championships with any regularity.

You actually place "personal appearance" and being "media savvy" above character and class for a college football coach?

Kind of shallow, don't you think?

Give me Fulmer over Miles any day.

You actually think a guy who says "r-KANSAS" and then says two ties are equivalent to one loss is articulate?
