Kevin Huber, a Knoxville, Tenn. native and Baron Huber’s Dad on being an Alabama fan now. (A former Vols fan.)

“I hated the Tide my entire life until Baron took his official visit to UA: The campus was beautiful. To me, the whole school reeked with class. One of the great lessons I learned in life, was when you don't know something about something or have an attitude, it's ignorance until you find out. That was the first time in my life I'd realized all those things I'd heard all my life weren't true."

Kevin Huber added: "I will be an Alabama fan long after Baron is gone. I just really have come to appreciate what they are and what they stand for."

Eh, whatever. Reeking of class would be one of the last things I would attribute to the Alabama campus though. Could be worse, there are much worse campuses than what Alabama has.

Don't see anything wrong with this at all, other than the fact that he didn't realize things he heard may not be true..

Ive been on several other campuses, many of them really nice, but it never made me waver in my love for The University of Tennessee. Sounds like he's chapped his son didnt get a visit to UT or something.

I love the Vols and I bleed orange, but if my kid was offered a scholorship to Alabama and not to UT, I'd have to become a Bama fan for at least 4 years. Now, if UT offered too, there's no decision it's UT all the way!

Not me, I'd love my son and support (him), not bammer! If you like Chevrolet, and your son drove a ford. Would you swap to a ford? Not me....

My dad hates Ohio State with a burning passion of 1,000 suns. When I was starting my college process, you know what he says to me?

"Zack, you can go to any school you want. Even if you go to Alabama or Florida, I will still love you no matter what. If you ever, ever, ever, step in Columbus, Ohio to go to Ohio State, I'll disown you, and you will never be allowed back in here. Don't make me do it."

The lesson: I'm not giong to Ohio State.
