I get tired of reading from posters who single out one coach, one player to blame for a loss. There were dozens of individual plays in that game which if they went our way, we probably would've won the game. JH was trying to center the ball for the final kick when one of our linemen flinched. You could blame that as the reason we lost. But don't. The game was a classic battle between two SEC powers that went down to the wire. The bottom line was their players made the plays in the last five minutes to win the game and we didn't.He coached scared on multiple occasions. You can’t be a chickenshít against Kirby Smart. The punt at midfield that they drove the field on, and especially the decision not to center the ball on the field goal at the end were scared decisions, and you cannot coach scared against teams like that. There were other issues in the game, but the head coach’s in game decisions cannot be an issue if you are going to beat a powerhouse.

Ding ding. I’m shocked by so many blaming heupel. Georgia needed a 4th down completion on a low percentage throw and a choke on the FG to beat us. Heupel had us in position to win with a 37 yd chip shot…. We just failed to execute. Against a top team, id take those odds every single time.I thought after they drove it down our throats to start the 3rd it was over. Banks made some adjustments and thought the D played well enough the rest of the way to give us a chance. Just a couple of yds difference in total yds. The 4th down touchdown I don’t believe a team in the country stops that throw .
The series after the fumble was exactly what you should do. Go up 8 with 6 minutes on clock and make them drive the field. It took a perfect pass on 4th and 6. Blaming the loss on Coach is BS!
We should have at least tried to score a td, before trying the kick. We got in field goal range with a combination of run and pass, and when we got in field goal range it was all run.********. Terrible take. He certainly could have won the game. But the game could have been won in so many other areas.
You do realize we were playing a very good team. And also Ga is considered a very good defensive team, and we put up a good amount of points on them, acctually in regulation the same amount.Oh, so the running game and the points scored had nothing to do with it. Look how that D did when it finally faced an Elite O. They got scorched!!!
No one said the coaches are terrible, you think happy is satisfied with the and not kicking himself for giving it away. Of course he is.And a loss to the best team in the SEC in overtime isn't going to exclude us from said championship opportunities. Gilbert choked. The moment was too big for him. Acting like the coaches are just terrible is dumb. If he makes that, there would be no second guessing huepel. Huepel knows a hell of a lot more about ball than I ever will. Let's worry about UAB
Yea, I question the mental toughness and in many cases, the intelligence of these posters who blame particular players and/or coaches. The dumbass on here stating we lost because our coach "feared" the situation is classic example. Some of the dumbest fanbase members in all of football reside in Vol Nation. If we didn't have a freshman playing corner due to multiple injuries and our kicker executes a fairly simple kick, we beat the most talented, dominant team in the SEC while lighting up the scoreboard against them. This was the second time they've given up 40+ points in SEC play in the last decade. Heupel had his team in position to win the game, with far less talent, with 7 seconds to go and the players didn't execute a common and simple play. I'm usually the last person to blame the players, but in this case it was clear and obvious.
CJH doesn't own the euphoria that every fan builds up in their heads on every game played...it was a great game, and UT came out on the losing end. Move on...jmoHe coached scared on multiple occasions. You can’t be a chickenshít against Kirby Smart.
