This loss is on Tim Banks

Starting with VN on the goal line when VN HAS to pass and they are in a run defense. We have good players, they are continuously out of position or playing way off when they should be tight.

CJH is the man in charge.

He needs to man up and take responsibility for the product that he put on the field today.

No. The defense was out of position all night. We schemed like we didn’t know Pavia can run the ball.

This is on coaching.
We’ve been out of position all season. Going back to the first conference game, we continue to have DB’s not knowing where to lineup and while the LB is trying to tell them, the ball is snapped and we give up yardage. Is the DC not getting in the formation in time or do the players just not understand? Either way it’s been a sore spot all damn season and it’s unacceptable at this level of football

Wrong who signed off on the players cruited and development and scheme. It always starts at the top!
Starts at the top doesn’t mean the top is 109% responsible for everything. You people are gonna have to accept that football is a team game. It requires the players and coaching staff to win. The coaching staff was garbage but so were the players.

It’s a start and proof that Heupel has a set to make changes. Banks may not be the ONLY problem but he’s a sub par coach and should have long ago happened.
Well, yeah. However, Heupel letting Nico’s people pull their junk as long as he did, the Boo stuff, clock management, letting officials stiff us, etc is a huge issue too. It tells me that people who say he’s a great OC and not a head coach are on to something.

He can’t do anything about officiating.
Of course. However, working officials is a real thing. Not being afraid to lost it on a ref matters. Making a public statement on horrible calls matters. Take the fine. Dude gets pushed around. Other coaches fight for their team. It matters. Standing there looking at your chart or staring ahead after a horrible call isnt good. Other coaches work officials and get make up calls, etc. They know he won’t say a word after or call them out.

I get the injury bug, but we shouldn't have depth issues at this point. We shouldn't be 1 deep anywhere on the roster.

The offense line.. their dl shoved who ever was blocking them right into joeys lap all day long. Straight bull rush. We looked incredibly soft.

I know he doesn’t have DC experience but I would love to have Jerod Mayo as DC.

I’ve been very much on record about him having no coordinator experience. I don’t know what an NFL LB coach does. Maybe he would adjust quickly to being a college coordinator. If nothing else maybe he would bring an air of professionalism to a team that damn sure needs it.

I’m concerned about all of those things, but the buyout is eye popping for a guy one year removed from the playoffs. But I completely agree with all of those things you mentioned.

To be clear, I don’t want him fired, I just want him to get better or at least make an effort to act like he cares.

Yeah. I got flamed a few weeks ago saying I didn’t think he’d win a championship here. I stand by it. I also stand by my comments all week about Vandy being trash. They are flaming trash.
I saw with my own eyes….as bad as I hate the SOBs they’re pretty damn good.

Banks has no clue on how to stop the other team's #1 offensive weapon. No pressure on the QB and can't contain Pavia scrambling is pathetic. Make them beat you with something else at least!!!!

Safety and Middle LBs have been a weakness all season. I think it has more to do with coaching than with talent. We need some new Defense coaches.

CBs aren't the greatest but they are very young

Officiating certainly helped: Not overturning obvious catch where you could see orange shoes under the ball on the replay. 2. Calling a Vandy catch when the replay shows the ball isn't properly stowed away, 3. Not calling obvious illegal motion on a big Vandy play, 4/5 two obvious pass interference calls in the end zone against the Vols that would given us 1st and goal on 2 drives that resulted in 3 Vol points. 6 Not calling PI when Vandy pushed down Matthews way past the LOS. 7. BS roughing the QB call that turned a Vandy FG attempt into a TD, played pulled up and just grazed Pavia.

I'm sure I missed some others but what I can tell you is we lost on every controversial call/no call, penalty/no penalty.

I really hate to whine about officiating, but this was ridiculous.
