This loss is on Tim Banks

I glad Danny White makes the decisions and not fans.

Are you glad that a proven, over multiple years, defensive coordinator isn't getting the job done?

'Cause that's what's happening

You just watched a repeat of Matt Mauck in the 2001 SEC championship game single handedly ruin a season and seem to be happy about it

Heupel offense probably needs a runner at QB to make the offense stay on the field when things get tough. Aguilar is an absolute warrior, but he has limitations. Hes not going to carry it 10 times and be a threat to create chunk plays with his legs.
WTF. Aguilar had enough QB keepers during the game. Heupel set him up to fail. Bishop should have gotten 25 carries tonight

The offense let the defense down today

Do yall remember that safety we had last year? The one that blew **** up?! Yeah, he's at Miami doing the same thing. We didn't find anyone to replace him. Walton was out. It is what it is.

I agree, but the offense sucked today too
Vandy's D made adjustments at half and shut down our offense in the second half. Our D did not and Vandy continued to feast on Banks' soft unit.

I did concern two seasons ago that a quality D coordinator would not want this job because of Heupel's low TOP offense. I am really beginning to think along these lines again which could be problematic replacing Banks. I mean with Heupel's history, he could just end up promoting Martinez. That's a scary thought. 😨

I won't necessarily argue with that but there isn't any way, shape, manner, fashion, or form that you can think that D performance, AT HOME, is acceptable....

Think about it... if THAT D is *just a little bit better* TN is talking about getting beat in the National Championship Game instead of complaining about getting beat, in their own house, by little brother and ending up in a condiment bowl

Our offense averages 40+ per game and we just completed a game with 24 points scored. Are you seriously saying that this loss was solely on Tim Banks? lol
TN should never be in position where an offense has to score everytime they get it and that was the requirement in the 2nd half. When everybody, including teammates, know there’s a 70% chance the opponent will convert on 3rd down, it’s deflating af.
These numbers are flat embarrassing.

Starting with VN on the goal line when VN HAS to pass and they are in a run defense. We have good players, they are continuously out of position or playing way off when they should be tight.
I believe it was a coin toss to call the defense. With Pavia, run is always on the table. Down and Distance doesn't matter. I would have called Geno and had the boys kneecap Pavia.

Run the goddddam ball in the 2nd half. We had a guy rush for 92 yards in the first half. Heupel could have taken pressure off the defense in the 2nd half by with a run heavy plan.

That’s because he’s yet to see Neyland with 80 K people in it. When the people start voting with their check books and Danny Dollars will come around. He’s made UT football an extremely expensive but somehow mediocre product.
Right there is spot on. Danny wants all the money but getting destroyed by Vandy at home he and Heupel should be on the hot seat. Bleed your fan base and deliver nothing.

I can’t believe the players let pavia talk all that trash and then walk all over them . The players are weak as they come. Also the strength staff needs to be looked at

I was at that game. Good observation.

Tim Banks will always suck but the offense sucked out loud the last 4 out of 8 quarters this year. Only one half of offense the last two games. When your defense sucks the offense must perform. Huepel is done for here.
Wasn't this a theme last year as well? Show up the first/not the second and vice-versa? Baffling.

Danny White will wake up in a new reality tomorrow morning, if his phone isn’t already ringing. CJH will now start to feel some heat for the first time…3 home losses with a blowout to Vandy should never happen.
Not to mention the money being paid out to these players

So, your argument that coaching wasn't the problem is that coaching was the problem

After several years it's apparent that Josh does what Josh does, D be damned. Instead of changing what he does, he thinks he needs to do the thing that isn't working better.

"It didn't work because <reasons> but if we do the exact same thing, over and over, eventually it'll work because they'll stop stopping it!!"

The Head Coach is always number 1, it’s his program.
Majors fired Donahue who was a good friend of his. Heuple needs to have the courage to do what what is needed. If he can't make the big decisions that are needed he will be gone in a couple of years. This is the new normal in college football. I would hire Gruden in a minute if it could be done. We should have thrown the money at him instead of hiring, Dooley, Jones, Pruitt and add Heuple to the list after toninght.

Vandys less talented defense dictated what our offense did and anybody with any sense knew Kill and Pavia were going to toy with Banks and they did.
We try to find the ball then go get it like pee wee football, on our heels causing more bad angles trying to react instead of freaking disrupting and dictating and I’m tired of it. Been tired of it for 3 years.
600 yards and 70% 3rd downs. 300 rushing. Flat embarrassing.
