This is year 0, again.

Sir, I’m very serious. I personally am not holding them to high expectations until 2023.
Beating Georgia State, BYU and Kentucky are not high expectations. I've been very clear that nobody is looking for National Championships. Beat who you are supposed to, avoid 30 point blow-outs by the others, and keep your name in contention in the division. Basic, achievable goals...for any coach, in year 3.

But, you do you.

I think I get it.

Ok, so this is like one of those really hard games......when you die, you have to start all over again.

Did I get it? Do I win?
Yes, this program has died one too many times to be relevant again any time soon.

We are now Kentucky if not worse. This is a what a bad football program does. Basketball is coming soon.

As long as the fans, and alum hold them to this low standard your words will ring true I'm afraid.

Here’s why. After the 2017 debacle and coaching search mess, 2018 was year zero for Pruitt. Last year was year one, where we got to a bowl game. However, with the pandemic and an all SEC schedule, 2020 got reverted to year zero again because of a lost offseason. I don’t think any program can be successful until year three, so I wouldn’t expect anything great from the Vols until 2023. Program is too fragile for all of this outside stuff to constantly derail it.

All the teams in the SEC are dealing with the pandemic. UT is not the only school having to adjust to COVD19. Vols played a horrible game and the coaches refused to move on from JG paying the price with an awful loss to UK. I think our team is better than they showed this past Saturday, but they need to play like it. I see no fight or desire to win from this team right now. This has been a huge problem since the 2nd half of the UGA game. The excuses that are pouring in are ridiculous. UT needs to nut up and play better.

I'm sorry guys. Was really cheering for UT to dominate SEC. I'm tired of these puppy dawgs and Gators. At least they got smoked by Bama and coach got covid.

Similar nonsense was said about Butch and Dooley. This isn't year zero, this is excuse number 8,539. It's time to start holding coaches and AD's accountable at UT. Arkansas has better excuses than anybody, but they aren't using them.
Arkansas is playing good this year. If you could have Sam Pittman as are ol coach and Kiffin as OC and Pruitt as DC we could compete for sec and national championship.

After 2 decades of some of the worst losses and some of the most embarrassing situations like: (coaches that were hired and fired, An AD flying all over the country trying to hire anyone with a pulse who eventually got fired himself to Sal Sunseri fielding the worst defense TN has ever seen and this is just the tip of the iceberg). I simply wanted UT to show progress and improvement on the field, which I think is reasonable after year 3. I'm officially exhausted with the program!!!

Here’s the narrative, more head coaches in the last decades than wins over Florida, Georgia, or Alabama. Not an elite program right now.

Cool.

Doesn't change that trying to act like Tennessee can blame Covid more than anyone else is just ridiculous.

I think we're on the minus side of the number line.
We'll have to work our way up to 0 before progress can be made.

The Covid thing doesn't fly for a couple of reasons. One has already been discussed...everybody in the conference has dealt with it. Second, and most egregious, is the fact that losing to teams we should have beaten is not a new phenomena for this HC. It was happening prior to anyone knowing what Covid was.

Expecting to beat the GA states, Vanderbilt's, kentucky at home (at least not get steamrolled) and be somewhat competitive with the real teams is too high of expectations.

Good to know.

SO, what year is it for ARKANSAS, which if not for being screwed by the Officials, would be 3-1??

Did you lose a bet? Is that why you changed your avi?
Heck no!

1) JG is a great kid and he's always true to himself.

2) Everyone (including me) wants him to go play somewhere else, but he's like "make me" 🤣🤣🤣.

3 It's so representative of where the program is. Like: win or lose we're where we at; "eff it"!

I'd revise to say "Program is to fragile to absorb losing the turnover battle". We've got some talent...enough to split our wins the rest of the way. Problem is, after the butt whipping this week vs Bama, assuming a Vandy win and UF loss, we've got to win 2 of three against Ark, TaM, Aub. We can, but will we? MAYBE if we don't keep turning the ball over and learn how to defend the slant. After the dust settles, a 5-5 season wouldn't be all bad...probably about 6-7th in SEC, but we're on a slippery slope after KY game. Bama's gonna take the air out of our sails, and I'd guess the off week would be a GREAT time to get our next QB more reps w/ the 1's.

Tennessee ain't beating Arkie, A&M, and maybe not even Auburn. Vanderbilt will play lights out; having smelled Blood in the water. This Tanker is leaking oil.
