One of the oldest rules in football. You always want a LB on a WR. It's been true since the forward pass was invented. That's all.

This just in. All of our big receivers that could catch a cold were hurt. Pig was the only MAN left to throw to inside or outside.

I agree with the OP. Pig is not the appropriate one for that role. He is a slot receiver and needs to be used in that capacity. It makes no sense to throw downfield like that to him on "go" routes.

Unless he's wide open on a miss match of speed on wheel route type plays.

He simply isn't the one to be expected to just beat a corner one on one for a downfield potential jump ball situation.

It just physically doesn't make sense and anyone with sense should just know this if they are a decent human being.

Wes Welker says high from his midget penthouse. If your'e midget is getting picked up by a LB then that helps to open up the running lanes. Then when the LB decides to come back down into run support you hit them deep with PA.

What I saw was poor passes from HS QBs to short slot recivers, they did not lead the reciever very well. I think your point is a littel weak, if the pass is short, the LB and DB have a better chance to disrupt the pass or INT.

Pig did a great job, JW's passes often did not have enough air underneath, thus making <6 ft guys try and go up and get a pass. Dobbs on the other hand throws a better pass with more air underneath. So, it was not a get on Worly thing, its just Dobbs throws a better and catchable pass. :ermm:
