85% of our fan base is the same. After a huge win last week, our fan base was all talking about 9 or 10 wins this season. Now we lose an awful game yesterday and we are going to lose every game this season. Lane Kiffin has been exposed and we have no hope. TO ALL FANS LIKE THIS PLEASE SHUT THE **** UP. Our team had an awful game yesterday. Crompton sucked, but he wasn't alone. our offensive line didn't block and our receivers ran the wrong routes and dropped passes. Our fan base needs to calm down. Give these coaches and players some time. The UCLA team we lost to yesterday is not as bad as the one we lost to last year. They are in the second year under a very good coach that has succeded every where he has gone. It will take time for us to be good again but eventually we will be. Please every one quit being negative about our team and our coaching staff. Give them a chance, or we won't get a chance to see a good product over here again. Remember, the great Nick Saban lost a home game to Louisiana Monroe his first season at the helm. Guess they should've fired him too.

hey i said ucla was gonna beat us all week and no one took me serious ... but anyway i'd rather have dissapointed fans that really support the U then a bunch of big 10 fans that never even get out of there seat GO BIG ORANGE!

when your up, it seems like it should be better. when your down, it don't seem like you will ever get up again. it's human nature.

I'm disappointed in a loss no matter who its too. I love UT! I havent heard or seen any threads yet sayin CLK should be fired, if thats the case then they need to shut the hell up! I couldnt be happier with our staff!

I would just consider this loss a good level setting of expectations. Many fans had their sites too high, but this loss should ground them somewhat.

man why you gotta bring that up?? I joke i joke. This Vol team reminds me alot of the '07 Bama team, new coach, inadequate personnel for what the coach wants to do and poor QB play. We went 6-6 regular season that year. I'm just sayin

OMG have you not read any message boards? We lose one game and there ready to fire CLK and the worst part about it is that our fans chime right in with the Florida and Bama fans and continue rag on our team, our first year coach and staff ,and a bunch of freshmen players...Ok we lost to UCLA nothing we can do about it now...Our fans are going to have to be more patient ..I spent $400 dollars and drove 4 hours to the stadium and 4 hours back home and I am still not going to set here and insult my team...
Sorry Vol Master this has little or nothing to do with your statement but I rambled on...

im glad you posted this thread cause i was goin to if i could ever figure out how to start one. i thought that 10 - 2 was possible but even though we lost to a very beatable team im not dropping my expectations that much lower.

ok look........ those three interceptions that Crompton threw...... HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT THE RECIVERS RAN THE WRONG ROUTES????

Just because cropmton was blaming it on them?

Dude on 4th down at the end of the game he threw the ball straight into the ground!!!!

HELLO ITS FORTH DOWN WITH MIN AND A HALF LEFT!!! THROW IT UP IN THE AIR AT LEAST AND GIVE SOMEONE A CHANCE TO COME DOWN WITH IT!!!!

Crompton sucks.... There is no coaching that is gonna help him.... Plain and simple put in stephens!!!!

There were wide open recivers that he didnt even look at the ENTIRE GAME but he would throw into double coverage.....

SAME OLE CROMPTON nothing has changed....

If you think we are going to play SEC teams with him in at QB and win then YOUR CRAZY!!!!

Look folks; it's going to be 2001 or 2012 before we are really good enough to run with the big dogs again. Poor OL and QB play will likely haunt us again next year and maybe the year after that. Bray is not going to come in and start the first game next year IMO. We must be patient and unfortunately get used to losing to a few trash teams here and there over the next couple of years.

Agreed....I dont know if he isn't checking thru his progressions or what, but he always seems to throw to the primary and he always stairs his receiver down instead of looking the defender off...I know he didn't have alot of time to throw but he had plenty of receivers open instead of throwing into coverage...I mean i know we are blaming our offensive line but Ucla was stacking 8 ,9 men in the box ..and we had holes in that zone every where but Crompton kept throwing into coverage..

give us some time to get the right players to run CLK's offense, give it time. It is going to take 3-4 yrs to catch up, fat boy left the program buried

Don't lump all of us into the same 'fan' mold. Point your finger at the Foolmerites for this program that is in destruction. We have a new man here trying to lead us out of the laughing stock land that we were allowed to transgress into.

Last week I read a lot of positive threads about how good UT would be and this week I see a lot more negative threads. I think most UT fans had too high expectations for this year and its hard for them to swallow.:ermm:

To be perfectly honest I think, deep down, most fans that weren't absolutely delusional knew that Crompton was Crompton. It just hurts like hell when you try to be positive and when things go bad, have to admit to yourself, "Well, am I really that surprised?".

C'mon people, did you REALLY think Crompton was gonna suddenly be Da Man? Seriously?

Yea I think the Western Ky game set us up....I dont how high we set our expectations but we was certainly looking for some improvement, which we did not see yesterday but i have faith CLK will get the right personnel in there to help us improve...
