This is Why Fulmer's Not Going Anywhere

This is the last line in the article, a quote from the employee at Frontier Firearms: "We just have to beat Vanderbilt and Spurrier, then it's OK. It's a good season."

Wow... so the bar has now been lowered to beating Vandy and USC as a measure of whether it is a good season or not?

Wow... just wow.

Im with Jake, feel free to log off and go on with your wonderful life in the Natural State. By the way, people from Arkansas should get on their knees every night and thank God for Mississippi.

Jake, when I read that article my wife was throwing up in the bathroom from morning sickness, but in my mind it was from the article. It's just hard for me to believe that people are out there with that mindset. What really frightens me is that I suspect there are far more "fans" out there that feel the same way......far more than we know.

Mike Hamilton should make his decision on Wins and Losses at this point, because while Fulmer fans might be disgruntled about a firing, the institution outlives the man. As soon as next season starts, they will be back in Neyland.

Alot of the fans in question are very casual-do not keep up with recruiting, can't name but one or two players and just simply don't realize that in last 5 + years we have went from being the better team in our big showdown games and winning them physically and mentally to now just hoping to stay close and win at the end on some miracle or bad call. I used to defend CPF and still think he love UT and is a good man but game has changed and he hasn't changed with it.Almost be worth it to lose remaining games to help make sure BIG changes are made. Anyone know if the ole ball coach is happy and going to stay long term in rooster land???

Fulmer won't go anywhere if he wins all but one of his remaining games.

If he can finish with a winning bowl game, he will be back again but will still be under extreme pressure next season to at least win the SEC East (assuming we don't by some miracle pull it off this season).

I remember the Johnny Major Days. I still hold Johnny in High Regards but was thrilled to see Phil take over. Kind of got that Ole Johnny feeling again. Really would like to see Phil end it on his own terms. Either way it will play that way. The AD has to have the Kahoonas, like Jurich did with Denny Crum. I think it was this same article that said the real decision on the Coachs fate is held by the Multi Million Dollar Boosters. To me that made it sound like Hamilton was a lap dog. Or Maybe I read it wrong.

Im going to keep telling myself that he's from Arkansas. I just feel better that way. I will say that it helps me to come into contact with guys like that every once in awhile. See, now I have to go out and vote because guys like that remind me that Obama has a chance.

I now live in Fayetteville, AR and I try routinely to find a reason that Arkansans are inferior to Tennesseans and to tell my kids that they're Tennesseans. However, I keep finding, that those things which let me look down my nose at Arkansans, are equally present in Tennessee.

Arkansans are thankful for MS, but from a purely football standpoint. It's effectively 2 Ws per year.

So Central and Southern Arkansas....Very nice areas and really nice people. Esp. Nashville and Cabot. I was born and raised in **** Smith, Arkansas and I hate the razorbacks (Fayettville's back yard). Go Vols. I can't wait for Nov. 8 as I head down I-40 for the Arkansas v/s Tennessee Game.
