This is when you part ways

Yeah it's over for Butch cause this will get ugly if he is still coaching for South Carolina

The team needs a new leader. I don't know how they will respond to him at this point. How could you have faith in the guy...?

Hate it for Butch, but things have gone so badly there's just no other way.

Press confrence
National joke on GameDay
This season in year 5 so far
The new recruiting dates
Buyout is same in January as it is now

All reasons for the first time I am in agreement that if the sun sets Monday and Butch Jones is still the head coach I will be baffled.

This is 5 years too late. The writing was on the wall when we hired a guy that lost to Dooley. Then he has blown games every single year he has been here. Honestly I have laughed the last three years bc butch has no clue

When the team gives up on the field and doesn't care at home against one of our biggest conference rivals. Year 5, top 15 recruiting classes, Butch coaching for his job and team plays like they want him to pack up tonight. They don't care, and when that happens it's time to say bye. Fire him now, let an interim finish the year, and then open the checkbook. Enough is enough.

Must fire him tonight!!

The defense actually played pretty dram good early on. But, with an offense that couldn't get past 3 and outs for practically the entire game, there is only so much the D can do when they can't get off the field. And GA is not a patsy offense to spend the whole game on the field with. They did their job wale y but the O let them down. This game on the heels of the UMass debacle, which was in the heels of the UF debacle surely is a deciding arrow in the heart.

I hate it for the players and for Butch. We've finally got a great roster built back up save a top notch QB, and he is a likeable ble guy. But I believe the undoing is finally done.

I've been watching TN play for nearly 50 years and can't remember ever losing by 41 points at home, much less being shut out.

There will be many here come Monday saying he still needs time
Young team

Fake offense

The usual

Fake coach would be appropriate. All the more reason why that mealy-mouthed snake oil salesman should be sent packing. Platitudes and coachspeak may be acceptable pablum for the masses to a point, but that point has surely passed as of today.

C'mon Ras, would you seriously sell your soul just to win with the CFB equivalent of Petino?

There are better options...much better options...out there.

You of all posters here are wise enough to know that, and to see what Petrino would eventually do to the UT brand.

Go Vols.
