Give me a break, two guys stated as soon as CDD and staff were let go that if Pittman left, they were leaving. This was Skipper and Koehler who had not commited.

Bradley and Campbell left as soon as CDD was let go. It had nothing to do with Jones. I do think he spoke to the young men, but they wanted to go elsewhere.

Other than these guys, who else did we lose because of Butch? Vonn Bell comes out and says it was because Dooley showed him no love. His relationship with Urban Meyer solidified and that was it. That is not on Butch. Urban is a great closer. We know that from his time at Florida.

This year, Florida signs only 2 recruits in the top ten of the state of Florida. They only sign 4 out of of the top 20 in the state of Florida according to Scout.com. No way that ever happens to Urban Meyer or Steve Spurrier while they are head coach of Florida.

Auburn had a top ten class before they fired Chizik. They brought back Malzahn who wanted that position. He did not want to go anywhere else. He was able to keep kids who had already committed to go there plus add others.

Butch brought in Dobbs, North and kept Carr. I think this class is ok. Did it address all our needs? No. But until he coaches a game, slack off.

It's sad that not one name brand coach wanted to take on the rebuilding of Tennessee Football.....we missed on getting the Big Fish Coach.....It is what it is.....sad, very sad

But you also got to look at, Except for last year Auburn has had pretty good 3-4 years where TN has had 3 coaches and horrible 5-6 years

yea...it sux. But just imagine how great its gonna be beatin bammer and the gators! Always darkest before dawn...we got a good coach and we will win more games this year and see an upswing in recruiting next year when the staff has momentum and more than a month to put it together! We WILL be back! GBO!

Some of yall's expectations are rediculous. The fact that we were even the final 2-3 choices for a few 5* and 4* is a show of how hard butch worked in his short period.

The same people called out Graham for his recruiting skills. LMAO

People are b**ching and moaning about Ole Miss, Auburn, and Vandy having better classes. Unfortunetly Ole Miss and Vandy had more wins and wont their bowl games. Did not replace a LOSING coach. Ole Miss' class is shady as hell. They have only had one top 15 class since 2002 and now they are border top 5. Hmmm, o and not to mention the twitter/instogram picks of the #1 wr with cash in the locker room.

As far as Auburn goes, they replaced a National Chamionship coach with a coach who was only away from AU for a year. So, he more than likely had ties with every single recruit in a top 10 class before the firing of chizik. He just had to salvage it.

Lets not forget that tennesse has won less than 5 sec games in 3 freaken years and we aren't exactly the dominant force in the east let alone the whole sec we once were. I get it, its TENNESSEE we have more tradition and wins than anyone in the SEC not named bammer. Unless you crawled from a rock most of these kids could care less about tradition. They care more about what have you done for me latley. Like WINS and NC's.

This is a pretty good first class for coach jones IMO but its not going to be enough to compete with the SEC elites.

Some people just don't get it. This staff had what...a month to secure this class. Do you realize that recruiting is built on relationships?? Relationships that many times form over a year's time. How do you possibly expect for this staff to finish top ten in that amount of time. Totally unrealistic. We will be fine. We finished 21st nationally I think. Honestly, that's pretty amazing. People need to stop star gazing and jump on board! You do have options though. You could always find another program to support. As for me...I'm a true fan and will choose to be optimistic that Coach Jones will bring us back to prominence. GO VOLS!!!

Devondre Campbell, Reeve Koehler, Dan Skipper, Ben Bradley, Toby Johnson.

Each would have added much value to the program and would have stayed on if BJ had retained Sam Pittman as the Ol Coach and Brandon Staley as a GA

Tell that to Gus Malzahn. He had less time than Butch did and fewer staff members and still secured a top ten class.
