My time can be better spent elsewhere than trying to argue with someone who is complaining about a top 25 class after the coaching staff had 6 weeks on the job.
My above post speaks for itself.
Everything I said was a fact whether you like it or not.
Did we not get out-recruited by Vanderbilt? Did we not get absolutely whipped by Ole Miss? Penn State was not subject heavy sanctions? Did they not finish right next to us? Did Malzahn not bring in many more top prospects in the time allotted?
The 2013 signing class was not a great success. Its ranking was lower than any class Dooley signed.
What is it that you don't understand about that?
I will say (and have said many times) that it is amazing and impressive that they have done a phenomenaol job and exceeded everyone's expectations in recruiting since then. But I'm not going to engage in revisionist history. Sorry.
Yep, you hire a mid major coach and then let him just bring over his mid major staff and give them big raises, you're probably going to end up with mid major talent.
There's really no excuse for this. You got out-recruited by Vanderbilt. You got your a$$ handed to you by Ole Miss. You've only had two months? Well so has Gus Malzahn and look at his class.
Penn State got the virtual death penalty and Bill O'Brien is still out-recruiting Butch Jones.
I've given Jones the benefit of the doubt up until now, but today I have to say it looks like he'll never get us back to the top of the SEC.

Facts? Yes a lot of what you have said here are facts but you conveintly ommitted the circumstances surrounding some of them.
Fact #1: we got out-recruited by Vandy
When? In 2011 UT's class was ranked 14th and Vandy was 52nd.
In 2012UT's class was 20th, Vandy was 48th.
In 2013 (Butch's first year), his class was 24th, Vandy was 26th.
In 2014 UT's class was 7th and PSU's was 24th.
The 2015 class: UT is ranked 4th and PSU is 14th.
This all can be looked up on 247sports and it uses their composite rankings which includes rivals rankings.
Fact #2: We got whipped by Ole Miss
That was not a shock. They were the #3 ranked team in the country with the #1 ranked defense in points allowed. They had an experienced QB, more upperclassmen and a much better experienced OL.
Fact #3: Penn State finished right next to us
This is so ridiculous I almost ignored it but here is PSU's schedule in 2014:
2014 Penn State Nittany Lions Football Schedule - PSU
Here is Tennessee's: 2014 Tennessee Volunteers Football Schedule - UT Vols
Those two links say all that needs to be said.
Fact #4: Malzahn brought in more top prospects in time allotted
Again ridiculous. Before GM became HC, Auburn had only 2 losing seasons since 2000 (2008 and 2012). They also had 2 NC's, 5 divisional titles and an 8-3 bowl record. GM already had his offense in place and were a couple years removed from winning a NC. AU also only had 2 HC's since 1999 (Tuberville and Chizik).
While in that same time frame Tennessee has had 6 losing seasons since 2000 (2005, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013). No national titles, no SEC titles, 4 divisional titles and a 4-7 bowl record. UT is on its 4th HC since 1999.
While you do state some facts, you really need to include the circumstances surrounding them. Its not just black and white like you want to believe. A little research next time will make you look a little less dumb.

Butch had better reconsider his staff make up in the future. I do not believe that he understood what he got into when he took this job. Other teams are loaded with seasoned SEC recruiters. He went into a gun fight with a cap gun.
I wasn't the one who bumped the thread, nor the one who began attacking other posters.
