We talked a lot about the experience on this team and the older players and how much football they have played, but last night, Sutton fumbles a punt. Dobbs throws a piss poor interception and fumbles the football. Coleman Thomas gets man handled all night and has two penalties called on him. Hurd fumbles the ball, and JRM gets ejected( didn't agree with it though) on a special teams play. With the depth we have why he is in on punt coverage is beyond me. As many snaps as he is going to play give the kid a break. That's what bothers me is that our senior leadership played like hot garbage.

What bugged me is that the Appy St. Players kept having cramps and slowing the game every time we would get a little momentum!!! This seemed deliberate to me and the announcers hinted at it but never said it.

What bugs me is it didn't seem like they would care if they lost or won.

All right now. This is absurd.

I do think they were in shock all night perhaps giving you that impression. This was followed by sighs of relief once the game was over perhaps furthering your opinion.

In the end, this team got punched in the mouth right out of the gate and instead of responding with a barrage of punches of their own, it seemed like they responded with a "how dare you punch us. we are UT and you are Appy".

I do love all of the marketing that the Vol Program creates. But perhaps they need to back off the self-promoting for a bit.

It looked to me like the team was ready to call it a night when AS was driving "again" in the third up 13-3.
Sutton made a miracle INT to stop the drive.

The last time they did that it was a DB, and he even motioned to the crowd as soon as he got up. That one was clearly deliberate.

Coaching staff did not have the players ready to play against an inferior talented team. We got out-coached again by a coaching staff that collectively probably doesn't make as much as Shoop...

Play calling. I understand not opening your play book for the first game or even first year or two so players can learn, but I have no faith there is more advanced play calling. I think this is it. This is what we call and play. Maybe a couple trick plays but overall this is the future.

UT fans, not all of them, but enough to be clearly heard, need to stop this ridiculous boo'ing when a player goes down injured. To presume that players were going down intentionally to stop this unstoppable juggernaut offense, is silly. If some kid is laying there with a ripped-up knee, it's absurd to have thousands of fans booing him.

To all the fans booing because the offense is being "slowed down." First, ask yourself, is our offense really that good? Secondly, ask yourself if this was your son laying on the field, would you want others booing him? Thirdly, ask yourself if you want your own players boo'ed when they go down in games.

Seriously, this needs to stop. It reflects poorly on UT and the SEC.

That's right! He did and got booed. That's as bad a soccer player flailing after barely getting touched. I hope Football doesn't turn into that!

If one of their players were actually injured, you would be absolutely right... But they weren't. I didn't see many "Ripped Up Knees" out there, just guys who missed maybe a down or 2.

Agree Agree Agree!! Off the field, CBJ is a genius. On the sidelines, I keep waiting to see signs of life before we have to put on the paddles.
