About the only thing I liked about Spurrier is how he would call out his team for playing crappy during the postgame. As long as our players stay with the "participation trophy" mentality, we are doomed to this type of performance. (In reference to some of the postgame interviews I listened to before I had to shut it off).

Well we did witness when ky beat us without a quarterback. That team gave up too

Yeah, I witnessed that one as well, and I get what your saying. The team that lost to UK that year was trying to get Dooley fired, but they had enough pride to win the Vandy game during that same season.

Here's my biggest problem with what I witnessed lasted night: it was the first time I've seen such a level of bratty, selfishness in the face of possibly being the first team to go winless in the conference. They didn't have to lose the game last night, but some on the team chose to not care about what was at stake. You could see it their body language as you looked over the field.

With regard to talent, I'm not sure they're all that talented. I saw a horrible Vandy team spank those boys and then rub their nose in the most historic loss in school history. Where's the talent in that?

I've watched a lot of UT football over the years and I've never seen a team lay down like that in the face of what was at stake. They didn't need talent to win that game, they just needed pride.

I hope the guys that failed to man-up find another university during the off-season.
