This is how you know Dobbs is ready for the season

He is poised for an All-SEC year. We need the wrs to step up.

It's always the WR's or the O-line fault but it's never Dobbs. While the Wr's have dropped some balls, the main reason the passing game suffers is the accuracy of Dobbs. Hard to get in a good rhythm, when many throws are 5 yards short of the target.

Let's hope he's improved.

That's completely false but whatever.

Dobbs needs to improve. He has completed 60% of his passes for his career though. Almost 60% last year. That included many drops and throw aways due to pressure. Less throw aways and drops and he is close to 65%. He is not perfect but far from the biggest problem. Worley was the one who threw 5 yards short. Dobbs may over throw a wr every once in awhile but has been good when not handcuffed by coaching. When called upon to pass he has delivered. But you don't care about facts though.

Dobbs has made some beautiful passes, but let's be real - his completion % is helped by the fact that probably 25% of his throws are WR screens or to the HB, which you almost can't mess up if you're a D1 football player.

The same as pretty much every other qb. You do know Brady and Manning mostly throw short passes right? We aren't the only team that does this.

Can we be sure he wasn't checking out the CFL, eh?

Listen man he was inaccurate at times last year. The wide recievers played bad at times last year. No reason to get all upset. We need both to step up to have a good year.

What QB isn't?

The way some of yall act, Dobbs might be the only QB in history to ever miss a throw.

Dobbs completed nearly 60% of his passes last year. Not great. But not bad either. He was also the #1 in the SEC at converting 3rd downs through the air. As well as one of the top 3rd down passing QBs in the country. And that is a FACT. Not some bs innuendo.

I'll give you the "many throwaways due to pressure", especially early in the season. The "many drops" is wrong. I've asked a couple different posters to catalogue all the drops from last year and all I've got to date is one...... Malone's drop vs SCar. D4H gave me ball thrown high that should've caught vs BGSU and a ball he thought Malone might've caught vs OKla but it was tipped at the los....lol. I can think of a ball in the back of the endzone vs Georgia that was low and required Wolf to dive for (it was a good throw though), that he could've caught. Other than that, give me all the other drops throughout the season. Surely you can rattle off 10-15 off the top of your head since there were so many.

Ill be honest. I don't care if this kid gets 50% accuracy this season. The fact that he has taken a D1 football scholarship and milked the academic side of it for all its worth to better his future is aces in my book!

But seriously I hope his accuracy goes up like a U2 climbing to cruising altitude..

Yeah, and Brady and Manning not only completed 63%+ of their NFL career passes, but they were also very accurate throwing down the field. Josh was at times inaccurate throwing screens and 5 yard routes. Is he the worst ever? Of course not.....he just has much room for improvement
