This is how we make the CFP

Computational Fluid Dynamics software may not be all that great at predicting the college football playoffs

Aww come on man. You know very well that the success or failure of any football team is determined by the Reynolds Number at the the beer taps at the stadium.

A smooth laminar flow-you are a shoo in for the playoffs

A turbulent flow-your coach is getting canned.

Science..

I just think there are two different circumstances this season.

It’s an away game for FL and Ole Miss will be looking for revenge. I think Kiffin’s team will be more focused down the stretch knowing they choked away a layoff berth last yr. Just my $.02.

IMO, we won’t make playoffs unless the committee selects five SEC teams. Notre Dame isn’t going to lose so I’m sticking my post from while back - SEC gets four- unless Vandy goes 11-1.

GA, Bama, aTm, Ole Miss
And just like that. Miami goes down.

Notre Dame 25-10 win over 1 win BC.

Those margins aren’t gonna get it done for 2 loss Golden Domers with Miami dropping to the 2 loss line.

6th place. It's reasonably likely we rise to 5th. But, you never know. These 5 ahead of us may lose every game except for the very few they play against each other.

I think Pitt is going to take care of ND for us in 2 weeks. That new QB that replaced Holstein has the their offense humming.
If you are watching the Oklahoma game by now all of this talk of the playoffs should immediately stop!! We are not a playoff team team people! We are making far too many mistakes and giving Oklahoma every chance to win! I said 9-3 was our reality weeks ago and now I think I may be overly optimistic myself! Florida played Georgia to the wire today and from what I see against Oklahoma I seriously doubt we win that game 8-4 is a real possibility now!

After thinking about it this seems most realistic way we make the playoff, obviously we have to win out, also ND or Ole Miss could lose making it easier, or a team like Oregon could implode though less likely. I'm not saying these are the teams that will win their conferences, this is just a visual to help people understand why they are saying we have a 90% chance to make the playoff if we win out. Also remember Texas Tech and BYU play each other coming up soon, and Georgia plays GT. The only question is would they take 5 SEC teams over a two loss GT or a two loss Miami team? Possibly, but there is also the possibility Ole Miss or ND lose like I said.

We have no business being in the playoffs.
