Ok, this is my edition of Keys to the Game

Offensively - Run the football, control the clock, keep Florida's offense off of the field. Open up with a trick play early maybe second possession, see what happens. Get Brandon Warren involved, they will know we try to throw the football when Stocker goes out and Warren comes in, so run some 2 tight end looks early to make it easier to get him the ball. Crompton, don't lose the game for us, just hand the ball off and slip a screen or play action in there every now and then, we do need to go deep a few times in the first half to keep the secondary honest, to open up our running backs. USE all three backs, hardesty carry most of the load, foster catch a few quick hitters out of the backfield, and get creer the ball in 1st or 2nd down situations in some risky runs, maybe a reverse, or option play with G. Jones.

Defensively - Play press coverage and come at Teebow from different angles, ALL NIGHT LONG. Hit im in the mouth, if he hands the ball of on one of the QB Choice options, have someone hit his ass, if he pitches the ball, hit his ass, if he runs the ball, hit his ass, if he throws the ball, hit his ass, we'll take a 15 yard penalty once or twice to let him know that hey, no matter what you do, were gonna hit your ass so you better throw it quick, make him make some mistakes. We must play press coverage and blitz, if they beat our secondary through the air, then hey, they deserve to win, that's our strength.

Most importantly - Special Team play, and WIN THE TURNOVER BATTLE......And maybe just maybe, we burn the clock, limit Florida's touches, play good special teams, hit one or two big touchdown plays on special teams or offense, and hey, we might could just do it......

FANS GET OFF YOUR ASS SATURDAY, AND BRING THE COWBELLS OR WHATEVER IT TAKES! BE THE 12th MAN ON THE FIELD!

What does everyone think about that? Any Different opinions?

Lets shorten that up a little.
(1) control the clock
(2)Make tebow beat you from the pocket.
(3) Give up nothing cheap
(4) Fans get loud
(5) coaches coach too win instead of coaching to lose.
(6) I'll see if i can get phil the memo.

Don't forget the trickery and special teams plays, and oh yah, putting Teebow on his ass. Make him fear the orange.

We can win but the question is will Fulmer call some good plays for once.

from what i hear, he got on Clawson's hind end, and made him run the football in the second half at UAB, he knows what we need to do and that Crompton is struggling, but hey with the way we develop players at UT, if we had Teebow, i could almost say that he would be playing behind Crompton as well.

Score more points

In all seriousness. Run the ball constantly, hit them with a steady dose of playactions. And blitz the piss out of them, UM showed that Tebow will rattle when he is under pressure. Chavis, please do something besides the mustang. Hell, put the prowler on him and blitz every chance we get. Tebow has to get hit early and hit hard.

I don't know but the use of the word "ass" 5 times in one sentenace sure got me fired up. Looks pretty good to me. Its usually the same every year: Run the ball and control the clock, take care of the football, play physical, win the special teams battle. Thats about it. As far as the cowbells go, I think its best we leave them in Starkville...

Something about Teebow, and "hit his ass" should fire anyone up traveling up I-40 saturday.

Put Gerald Williams out there as a Tebow spy!

On another note- I still have confidence that the Clawfense will prove effective- right now, like it or not, we're still in a testing phase. I personally liked the rollout look for Crompton and those TD passes were very good throws. I'm hoping some of those dirt devils and bleacher bombs were deliberate throw aways. Whatever it takes!

On another note- UGA, USCe, Auburn, MSU all looked unimpressive. We may have the 2nd best offense among that group!

I'll agree there, only problem i have with that idea is, Ga also played a great SC defense, and SC has played some good defenses, We played UCLA (gave up 59 to BYU) And UAB (35 points is the least amount of points against them so far) BUT, i dont care how many points we score, as long as the other team has less. That's why we should limit their possessions by milking the clock, hey, it only takes 3 yards each down to keep the ball moving and the clock rolling.

I wouldnt call a defense that gave up 21 unanswered to Vanderbilt a great Defense.

I think the only way we beat florida is to make this a street fight rather than a track meet. We need to hit Tebow early and often. Start a fight maybe. Seriously. We need to be the aggressors and make them question whether or not they want to catch a pass across the middle or QB Sneak. We need to be nasty.

1. Do what works
Run, Put G. Jones in a QB to change pace, start Brandon Warren, and Blitz
2. Try new stuff
Try option plays, Do onside kicks, and try people out at different positions
3. Stop Their offence
Blitz Tebow, Double cover Harvin, and Blitz some more
4. Put the 12th man back in
Kick onside kicks, Come out with black jerseys, but keep the fans in the game
5. Dont make stupid mistakes
Dont throw Int's, put warren in, and dont fumble in the redzone
